@asdfb when Becky convinced Eugene to get him, kimbop seemed like a gentle, quiet dog. I think he was sick or something because not long afterwards his true crazy personality came out. Matt called him the dog version of Eugene in a video.
I adopted a rescue dog, and was told a dogs true personality comes through at around 8 weeks. They tend to be on their best behaviour for the first weeks until theyâre more certain that youâre going to keep them around.

As a Newfoundland dog owner myself, question two absolutely baffled me- ALL of the answers listed were true, so I figured it had to be a trick âall of the aboveâ type question. But seriously, everyone should have gotten points for that one. Newfoundland dogs have one of the largest lung capacities of any breed, which not only helps their incredible swimming abilities, but also gives them a booming bark capable of alerting their owners to potential danger. Newfoundland dogs have also been known to be able to rescue a staggering TWENTY PEOPLE AT A TIME. Give any Newfie a rope to hold, and these dogs can drag multiple people back to shore with minimal effort. Of course their webbed feet and dense coat canât be overlooked, but the Newfoundland is a very old Canadian breed that has been nearly PERFECTED as a water rescue/fish hauling dog- everything about their design contributes to what the breed was meant to do. Thatâs why theyâre my favourite dog breed by far. đ„°

There is this little country store that opened up recently near my house. The owners have Newfies. The two youngest are 4 months and a year old. I have earned the title "Professional puppy snuggler" because as soon as I walk into the place I am on the floor with both floofs and my husband has to pretty much drag me out of there. The owners think it's hilarious and if the pups aren't in the store when I show up they actually go get them (their house is right next door). None of us can agree who is most upset when I have to leave, me or the floofballs lol

@@jrb1567 maybe you don't listen to the podcast or you missed some videos of the past that featured Matt, but Eugene has been lovingly referring to him for quite some time now. It just feels kinda grimey how people refer to it as if its abnormal or like they are different from any other couple. Many fans of theirs kinda treat Eugene and Matt like a guilty pleasure rather than just normal people. Doesn't seem to do much for equality in my opinion. Its good to be happy for them, as i understand where that comes from, i just dont agree with how people do it. If it were me and my spouse, it would make me uncomfortable.
