When my darling walks into the door at the end of his work day. When I see things blooming early. When I find an rare plant, When I find a great find while out junking. I love Laura but she is my end of day winder-downer which I really enjoy.
My favorite part of this whole video is watching the way you, your sister, and your mother interact with each other. I hope that you know how blessed you are. You seem to really cherish your mother and that is so precious.

My family owned two nurseries-I grew up growing, watering and working hard. Didn’t realize how good it was until I was an adult -ready to ditch the desk job to retrace my steps and return to my happy place. Enjoy it Laura!

Laura walked in.. made my LIFE! hahaha.. it is worth the trip.. they are exactly as you see in the videos: fun, happy, lovely people and that garden center is a dream....

Fun observing the similarities between your mom, sister and you! Just like my mom, sister and I. Your sister is such a blessing. When working on big creative projects, it is everything to have support from "worker bees" with servant hearts who truly want to help. Following instructions and doing tasks behind the scenes, without needing coddled or the spotlight, allows the leader-creator's energy to be entirely goal focused. A true gift.

For many years, I've helped my cousin, who is a nursery manager, pot up perennials and annuals. We will be doing this again in 3 weeks. First I volunteered as I was still working, then when I retired, he hired me. It's a wonderful job , Second Act, that also feeds my soul.

oh my word, how many of us just said I WANNA HELP! 😂 it's work, good hard work, but your family is just so happy together (mine was not, so i'm a bit jelly, k? lol), and i think that's why my heart strings get pulled so when i see all of you together, having fun and working so well together (and that comes from great parenting early on! kudos to your mom and dad!)... i love how you can envision what you want - you make it seem so easy to set up those displays.... i'm so happy i got to visit the garden center, because i can "be there" in my mind while i watch where you are... and oh my gosh... the pots are so pretty and the statuary and fountains and i cannot wait to see all those plants in the spring... i remember walking through all the roses when i was there, telling my hubby i want that one and that one, etc (and then you came in behind me and i was so astonished and surprised and happy, i cried - yeah, i'm a nerd)... this was great fun and i didn't have to lift a finger!!

Unless if you work on commission, in which case, doing all the stuff they did today would suck, lol. (You'd make no money since you're not selling.) I once worked a sales job like that and *hated* it when I got stuck in the back room doing inventory or checking in merchandise (or setting up a display) while others were on the salesfloor with customers ($$$).

I never really took the time to think about the planning & plant arrangement that goes into the nurseries I visit. Now I’ll appreciate all that hard work when I visit them this year (& beyond). Thank you for letting us in on behind the scenes. Also, my gosh! You have so much energy.

When I lived up that way, one of the things I loved about visiting Andrews Seeds garden center was the beautiful displays. It was a treat for the eyes and the way the plants were paired up was inspiring for our own gardens. I do miss that now that I live over 10 hours away.

I Absolutely Loved working in the three greenhouses when I was younger. So Happy that I have gotten houseplants again. Praying that we all make it out of this RA flare doing good. Thank you so much for sharing this! It brings back so many great memories .

Love watching how things come together and the variety of garden 'furniture' (pots, fountains etc.) Can't get to a garden centre myself so enjoy seeing your parents' place. Allows me to pretend spend, but think about my garden and what potential there is!! Thank you for showing us!
New appreciation of brown and white! The displays will be gorgeous and love how you explained you bare bones build ups. I also think your parents garden center will be the most wonderful place to buy plants once it is filled in. It lays waiting for that magic moment when the plants arrive to give birth to Spring. How exciting. I certainly would love visiting here as just a destination place to buy stuff. All kinds of stuff - break my bank stuff and to think it is sorta naked right now.
