Nothing gives me more pleasure than to sit and watch all these Garden Answer videos. I find myself watching all of them over and over again because there may have been something I missed the first time around. Laura.....you are a great inspiration to all gardeners and wannabe gardeners. Thank you from all your fans in Canada.

There is a moment in this video that I stopped and called my husband over to show. I said to him "And this is why I love Laura!". Your hands were COVERED in dirt on screen as you held a plant tag, and you were so into giving us all sorts of very very helpful info about sedums. Cracked me up! You sound like me when you talk about plants and your garden. Thank you for being so "down to earth" and real, while giving us so much information and inspiration. I've been gardening for 40 years and you still manage to teach this old gardener a lot of new tricks!

Please don't ever lose your authenticity and integrity, you are a precious family that has rightfully achieved a lot and been successful. You (both) will continue to gain more & more success and opportunities as the years go on and I doubt you will ever compromise on who you are. You are an absolute joy to watch, that I just stumbled upon back in Spring when I wanted to go crazy and hang beautiful hanging baskets everywhere and watching your escapades with all your pot planting gave me so much inspiration and I have continued to go crazy with planting beauty all around my wild property, which is transforming into an amazing joyful sight that I can't wait to step out into every morning. Gardening is truly a gift from God.
Bravo to you both & especially on your impending arrival, Ben will be an amazing & protective big brother. Bless you x

@Dells Bells I, too, am a recent follower this year. I have been truly blessed by God in this covid-19 pandemic, in that I was still able to go to the office. More importantly to me, gardening was not affected and plants were available and retailers remained open. I'm able to do this summer what I love and what feeds my soul. I have bountiful blooms, birds, bees, hummingbirds, and praying mantis all around.
Your words resonated with me today... May you be blessed.

Laura I watched you and Aaron on the PVGV panel and although they were all very knowledgeable and very personable your platform success is because of the way you and Aaron are! You don’t upsell and neither of you put yourself out as authorities. You are knowledgeable you are personable and you care about others that is what makes both you and your channel special. I agree. I thought Laura's suggestion about giving garden center employees a deep discount to encourage them to buy and try was spot on. Nothing brings appreciation for your products more than employees who have had success with them and gain knowledge and excitement that is passed on to the customers. If you want better employees, you grow them with the company. I think this concept is so missed by most businesses. Laura gets it, though.

We love evergreens too Laura!!! I’ve mentioned it before but I’m not sure if my comment was seen....but many others agreed that we would all LOVE a dedicated evergreen video, explaining the types , their habits and preferences, and where they’re best grown, along with the structure they provide. Maybe something to do in the fall or winter, or early spring, or You could coincide it with getting more for your gardens. This way we could see the structure better, without the perennials filling in gaps. Please, please, please? We would all love to be able to identify evergreen specimens as easily as you do. I know there are ways to tell pine from spruce, from cypress, etc. We would love a guide! 💚🌲💚🌲💚

I know thats weird to say and I hate that the plants didn’t survive but it just shows me that i’m normal and am probably a bette gardener than I give myself credit for. I think a lot of times folks in your position tend to shy away from talking about “the real” side of gardening. Yes you are super good at what you do, but knowing that even you lose plants at times just gives me more push to keep at it because even the good guys don’t have 100% success! Now for a question that you have probably answered in the past... do you deal with snakes at all??

You mentioned the heuchera needing extra water if winter is dry, I’m glad you mentioned that because it’s probably why I lost a few things this winter despite it being mild. What other plants need supplemental winter water? Also, those geraniums are amazing!

Hi Laura! I know you have abandoned the Moon Garden idea, but I just realized back when you were requesting us to list white flowers for you that I missed one that I actually have been growing in my yard for years & love! Though you are no longer going w/ an all white theme (in that on area) I think it is one that you would love too! It's called Snow-In- Summer. It does have little white blooms in May-June, but the real attraction to this plant for me is it's silvery foliage. It only gets a couple of inches tall & is great for tucking in around the front of borders as a ground cover or spilling over rock walls. It is hardy all the way down to a zone 3, & it loves the full sun.

You have what you need to shade your chickens. Try shade cloth installed beneath your clear plastic roof. You can use wiggle wire and wiggle wire channel to install it. Both of these items are used often in high tunnels. Installation is super easy and it would be less obtrusive than a shade sail. I straw in all my potted plants that I'd like to overwinter in one of my raised beds. I lay bird netting over the straw and then anchor it to the sides of the raised bed with wiggle wire and channel. The straw doesn't blow away, the plants don't freeze and mother nature does all the watering. I love your videos. You provide the gumption to get out there and garden.

I would love to have a garden center close to me that is similar to your parents but it is so fun to watch you go thru and get plants. I keep talking to my friend about taking a trip down to the see the garden center as it's only about an 7 or so hour drive from where I live in Washington state. We could drive down visit the center spend the night and drive back I think that sounds like a lovely way to spend a couple of days LOL All the areas you did look so refreshed and alive, can't wait to see how that goldenrod does.
