    ENGLISH:
Here you might see in 6:20 min. how appr. 750 pieces of metal and wood could be combined to a beautiful aircraft model. The kit from Artesania Latina (► * amzn.to/2VBSzQm) in the scale 1:16 is a so called multimedia kit of wood and metal and is relatively easy to build and well guided. It includes step-by-step instructions with video tutorials and more than 600 photos for a simpler and more pleasant assembly. I tried to let the pieces act for theirselves and show how to build an aircraft...
What I use for the videos:

I made some mistakes during the detailing process - please write a comment, when you picture them ;-) In addition: I missed the opportunity to spend more time in detailing with fuel pipes and cables - it's just building out of box...
    DEUTSCH:

THIS IS THE FINEST PIECE OF STOP MOTION ANIMATION I HAVE SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!!! Beautiful build, amazing video, even shifts in focal points. So it really is stop motion?
I thought so at first, but seeing how perfect it is I went "Nah! It has to be computer animated or something".
WOW! That's really an amazing performance!
Btw! "Dance Macabre" is the perfect choice of music for this!

I agree. I'm a big fan of Wes Anderson, but this is on another level. Aside from the model building itself, the stop-motion work you did is simply awe inspiring artwork! It's amazing what human beings are capable of, and you have left this jet jock with his jaw on the floor!! 👍 👍

Amazing and well-done film! I've flown 220 different m/m of airplanes, including 14 biplanes - got to sit in a DR-1 at an airshow; never got to fly one. The pilot said they were good fliers but squirrely during landing. Seeing the construction was truly amazing, considering it was developed 14 years after the Wright Brothers first flew a powered aircraft. Also makes you think about flying into combat in one. Well done, sir!

I remember when I was a kid my older brother built one of those scale models of the Folker DR. 1 out of balsa wood. I would stand at his door after school and chat with him as he methodically progressed on the model. I remember him even making the wing and fuselage out of balsa covered in special paper coated with dope to make it stretch and be smooth. He painted it red and added the decals and it was finally done. It was perfect. It was a piece of art. I oohed and ahhed. And right at that very moment, he threw it into the wall and smashed it and then picked it up and smashed it again several more times. And then he stomped on it. I was horrified. He eventually became a pilot and owned his own plane, a Mooney. He also retired from the Air Force after serving as a navigator and weapons navigator aboard a B-52. Unfortunately, I don't think that dude was ever fully sane.

My God ! This vvas the most detailed model I've ever seen & all the extra time you took to animate it really makes it stand head & shoulders above the vast majority of other model builds . I'm so glad you did not put a skin on the model , so all the beautifull detailing can be seen . TYVM for posting & I look forvvard to seeing more of your builds .

Thanks a lot - but I am thinking about building the camel from Artesania Latina with a skin... 🤔

I think that as you've done such a brilliant documentation of your builds that it shouldn't matter if they get a skin or not, I also realised that the skin vvould be transleucent enough to see all the interior detail . In the end vvhat is important is vvhat you'd like to do vvith the models . I vvas & still am amazed @ the level of detail this kit had & the beautiful vvay you animated its assembly . I vvish you many years of creating more scale masterpieces & my thanks that you've shared them

At first I believed it was a computer simulation (btw, it would be an amazing one anyway).
Only at the end I realized it is a stop motion!
    Astounding!

These are different steps. Only the composing let it look like a constant process. I move the different parts step by step, take pictures and stop the photographing when it comes to the particular assembling. Then I mark the positions of the components in front of the camera, take them away and glue parts together and/or do a painting. After the procedure is fixed or dried I place it in front of the camera again and proceed making pictures...

Great project! But how effortless was the climb of the real thing, at the end there. No wonder they couldn't catch him. It was a field gunner who brought down the Red Baron in the end.
