Avoid this floating market scam in Bangkok 🇹🇭

Last year, Bangkok became the world’s most-visited city and it’s obvious why. With its incredible array of attractions, world-class nightlife, amazing food and incredible value for money, the Thai capital one of the best destinations to travel to.
But with mass tourism comes people looking to capitalise on the situation, and in this video you’ll see exactly that.
Whilst we enjoyed a morning and early afternoon at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, followed by a sunset visit of King Power Mahanakon (my favourite attraction in Bangkok), our trip the following day to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market - approximately 90-100 minutes outside of the city - turned into an attempted scam.
Our driver dropped us off a few miles away from the entrance so we’d have to pay for a boat the rest of the way, but we knew better than that and refused to pay.
Instead, we finally made our way to Damnoen Saduak’s proper entrance, where we were taken around the market on a longboat and picked up some souvenirs.
