  • Just a quick update given the lack of project videos recently. If you've seen the shorts you've seen I've been messing with wiring up robot cameraman controls to my new watch. this was mostly a live test of some that actually being used.

The servo sounds makes me think of a robots grumbling tummy, but other than that it's a pretty sweet set-up you've got there!

This is so awesome. Useful app, it's always a hassle turning on the camera. Mahalo for sharing! : )

Indeed, I often wonder up leaving the camera rolling for ages of I'm in the middle of something and just can't really go stop the recording even if I know I won't use any of it. I'm also happy with how flexible the app setup is now. Very easy to add extra options without having to update the watch again.

What you need is a remote microphone on you, perhaps a wireless one?

Occasionally I've considered getting a wireless mic. But they're expensive and I'm afraid that all the heavy machinery could interfere with the signal anyway. Do you use a wireless setup?

@@MakerGeek I doubt the machinery would be an issue, but I do sometimes use a separate microphone and recorder but you have to clap to sync. I also use 2 cameras and clap to sync those and remove the sync bits in editing.

I often use a Dictaphone to record audio and sync later. But managing the extra files and such is a hassle. So anything I can do to make the files that come off the camera pretty much the final piece, the better.

@@MakerGeek In which case the microphones could do with being further away from the gears. Might not mean wireless though.
