In my most recent visit to charsadda, I visited gharein (gurr jaggery-making place). Where I have seen how to make Original Charsadda popular Gurr Jaggery. In the modern era of the world still cooking / Making process is the same for hundreds of years.
First of all they use the quality of sugarcane juice and cook for 3 to 4 hours once the juice is thick they make the chunks of the hard form of juice and sell in the local markets.
The Gurr jaggery is very good for health and most of the people use for making of tea, bread and making other sweets and deserts.
