Hey man! Glad to see you doing well up in the Maine wilderness. We are just south of Houlton. We moved from Cleveland, Ohio. We built out a bus to live in while we build our cabin. We’ll have to burn one down one day. Much love and respect! God bless and enjoy this beautiful state!

Yes, the China bus! I took it when I lived in Brooklyn from Manhattan to only Boston and it was a nightmare. This was the late 90s so smoking was allowed on buses and apparently chickens.

I saw your videos with you building your home. Amazing AF. I love what you are doing. Now I’m super amazed after hearing all the places you’ve hiked. My plan is to do the AT next year. A couple questions, what made you leave NC to do this type of thing in Maine?? Do you do any guided hikes?? With all your hiking experience people would definitely pay you to take them on multi-day hikes. I know I would. I do day hikes and car camping but never did an overnight trip in the woods. I just told my children that since I’m an empty nester my plan is to build a house in the woods and live a minimalist lifestyle. You are doing exactly what I’ve dreamed about for years. Thank You!! I look forward to following your podcast and your CZcams.

Nice to see you’re still living your authentic life. Very inspirational watching you handling all the trials and triumphs that come your way as you forge a life out of the wild, primitive conditions in that frigid north country. Hope this reaches those who need to see life from a different perspective; that there’s a way to break free from the pre-ordained way that society says you have to live. Glad you are devoting your life to such a worthy purpose

If you need an Auntie I am off grid camping 3 season in South Aroostook. Just an old woman of the woods. But I did homestead farm for many years in PA. Easy growing down there, lol

not yet my hands are full with these two pups right now but i definitely plan on getting some ice fishing in next winter. maybe i’ll try and build a little ice shack this year. 🤝🤞🏾

This is great! I hope you're able to keep this going. I also want to know if you have any programs where older people can come out for a week to go learn to be more self sufficient.
