- Philippines BEST Night Market? | CEBU CITY Sugbo
Sugbo night market in Cebu City, Philippines was the highlight of my stay there! The Philippines has many markets, but the Sugbo night market in Cebu City was incredible! The vibrant night life of Cebu City, Philippines also made the Sugbo night market evening one to remember! I highly recommend the Sugbo market if visiting Cebu City, Philippines!

Thanks for watching!!
Filipinos are friendly because we are 'open'. Privacy is not a big deal with us. We have nothing to hide.
lol yeah right
Spot on!!😁😁
Maybe a privacy for some peace and quite.
That is exactly the attitude going on. Very different from Japan where it's considered rude to speak to strangers in public. In the phillipines its alot like the us, talk to anyone n everyone anytime you like. Its kinda more of a respect thing, as well, acknowledging someones presence, something also that came from Spanish culture, acknowledging someone when they walk into a room or come in front of you, not being rude by ignoring them.
Bayan ng marites, no boundaries whatsoever lol
I love when you ask “where you from ?” … and they say “here”
🤣
Cebu is one of coolest place on earth😊 people are so nice and friendly.. smile😁
Thanks for visiting here in the Philippines 🇵🇭
Last month I was there! Cebu is my hometown. Greetings from Alabama. ❤❤❤
Thank you, for showing me my country of birth. Even though I’m living in Australia and grew up her Le for over 33 years ago. I have been back there 9 times my last visit was 2014 for family funeral. So I didn’t get to see a lot only did one island boat tours and Kawasan falls. But watching your videos is making me homesick missing home so much.
Thanks for sharing. I can’t wait to visit there and come home soon ❤
ADMIN Jonathan! I subscribed to your channel because of this video . I am a Filipina living in North Carolina . I’m also from Cebu City , Philippines 🇵🇭…. Watching this video made me miss those foods and it’s fun to eat with a friend or friends …. The “ Camote Que “ they are talking about it is called here “ sweet potatoe” fried in a caramelize sugar . Tempura is just like fish ball but oval shape instead of ball shape the sauce is what’s make it more delicious 😋… The Park across the Night Market where you eat your meals it is called “ Fuente Osmena Park” ( if I’m not wrong ) I heard a lot has changed in the City … I have not visited Philippines in 9 years . So miss my country a lot like the beach , sea foods and fruits ….. “Balik-Balik” ( in Cebu ) mean Come back again … Tagalog and English are the most common languages Filipinos speaks but they have 100 dialects … Like Cebu - speaks Cebuano or Visaya. We have Cities down in Mindanao and Luzon area that speaks Spanish because of
Ferdinand Magellan a Portuguese Explorer who influenced the Spanish language, that’s why our words are mix of Spanish . Like number counts and furnitures .
Thank you for sharing your experience in The Philippines 🇵🇭 … Always take extra care .
I love Cebu City. So many good memories during Sinulog festival.
I’ve watched the country’s biggest and grandest festival for 8 years!
Cheers fr Manila.
in what month is the festival.?
@@kafzetarepticuliesh428 It’s on the 3rd Sunday of January.
I've been watching your videos as a subscriber I know you've been wanting to come to the Philippines I've got the feeling you'll meet the most beautiful Filipina
there because that's your destiny mark my words!
Cebu is my hometown. ❤ Have a great time in Cebu!
Great video! Honest, spontaneous, and down-to-earth. I'm glad you seem to be having a great time in the Philippines. It's quite easy to understand and appreciate the delicious diversity of Philippine cuisine. This archipelago nation is composed of 7,641 islands each with a unique geography, topography, and cultural diversity. Technically, it will take you around 21 years to visit each island if you were to spend a day in each of them.
The country is divided into 3 geographical regions: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao among which the 81 provinces are spread and where as many as 187 languages are spoken depending on which classification system one uses. Tagalog, also known as Filipino the national language, is widely spoken by almost everyone so you're better off learning it as opposed to other dialects or languages.
As you may have seen by now, the Philippines is a geographically breathtaking country. But I'm guessing that the one treasure you will have found heartwarming and wonderfully unique is its warm, friendly, and family-centered people.
Camotecue/kamotecue (the first thing you ate in this video) is a combination of words: camote/kamote (sweet potato) and cue - think barbecue, only that it's not meat and instead of savory, it's sweet because of the caramelized sugar. Other popular (and similar) street food is bananacue. Sisig is very popular and often paired with beer - it's traditionally fried parts of the pig's face served in a sizzling plate, but from what I heard in your video the stall offered seafood sisig too.
I missed my province Cebu, i studied in Don Bosco high later in University of San Carlos graduated as BS mechanical engg, got my work and skills exp by projects in 6 Middle east countries and 6 Asian countries in oil and gas, power plant, on shore, off shore projects. I missed my parents and my hometown Malabuyoc, Cebu my relatives and my friends there, now im here in Davao City with my family. God bless.
Thanks for praising the beauty of the country! Enjoy the pristine beaches of the south but dont forget to come to the Northern Philippines. It has more magic surroundings that you can enjoy! Filipinos loves you now.
Yes, visit pagudpud beach cove, most northern point of the phillipines, opposite key west Florida which is the southernmost... if u plan ahead, flying up there isn't too expensive. Youll need a tourguide or someone to rent for a week to drive you around up through the different provinces up there. Marcos body in embalment is on display at the marcos museum, if you care for history. Also visit the old fort Bonifacio tour, in manila. See where jose rizal wrote letters from his prison cell. And later on in ww2 how it was used in the atrocities of war. Go by tagaytay highlands peoples park in the sky for killer mountain top volcano views of the taal volcano.... or visit baguio city and enjoy the cooler weather up there...
I'm from cebu and I'm currently living in Oklahoma city, you should visit sa the floating Cottage balamban, talisay. Have fun in our beloved country and enjoy your stay ❤️ God bless
There are so many languages in the Philippines. So if you want to learn one, it should be Tagalog since Tagalog is understood all over the country from Luzon to Mindanao.
That's indeed a very nice night market in Cebu. I have also seen a night market in Davao City. When you visit Davao someday, don't forget to visit their night market too.
There is one and only language in the country, which is Tagalog all the other types are called dialect or regional speech patterns which obviously differ from region to region. So Filipino language is Tagalog only.
@@mistyrivers4995 only idiots say that.
Cebu is the place that first discovered by foreigners then the Philippines. Cebu is the oldest City and Tagalog language is the force to eat /enforce by lousy politicians in this country. They want to wipe out other original language that s the plan.
@@sugbosugbo1987 Are you aware that Cebu is in the middle of the Philippines? It's not possible to discover Cebu first since Leyte and Bohol will be discovered first if the foreigners are coming from the east and then Panay and Negros will be discovered first if coming from the west. Besides, why do you care about the foreigners discovering Cebu first? Is that something to be proud of? No language will be wiped out as long as there are locals speaking the language. Just stop already with all your nonsense.
If Cebu was chosen as the capital of the country, then Cebuano might have been the official language of the country. But Manila was chosen and they speak Tagalog in Manila. So Tagalog became the official language of the country.
Road to 50K!!!! Show some love Cebu!!!
Halfway there!
Wishing you all the best Johnathan!
By the way, a popular Pinoy nickname for somebody named Jonathan is Tantan! Say that with a strong "t" sound and strong "Ah". 😁
Sisig. (The pork dish). Portuguese egg TART. 😂. The first fried camote is fried sweet potato. Banana q = fried banana. Usually a snack.
I'm an American, been to the Ph. only a few times. Your pronunciations of Filipino words the funniest part of your videos.
Camote que (like bbq), is a sweet potato deep fried with sugar glaze. Can be found in some streets in the Philippines.
Jonathan i would like to tell. Pinoys are one of the most happy people. No matter what dissasters occured in heir life, they managed to laùghed comfortably.
Oh Cebu street foods, missing them so much. Definitely tastier and a lot of fun to eat. Great food vlogs today bud.👍🌞🇵🇭
daghang salamat sa karatulang CLAYGO. lahat NG mga Tao diyan ay may disiplina.nakapunta na ako diyan .very clean tu ok and NG Ayala center. Malinis talaga diyan da IT PARK. Congratulations sugbo mercado and IT park management.very proud of you all.

Hey Jon, I'm really enjoying ur Video, the way you interact with the locals😊
YOu made me salivate with all these food choices! Thanks for the upload. New subscriber here!

Now am

so much delicious food there, love that it is so lively too!!
Your subs are growing fast …so happy for you .
You should go to Avenire Condos. There is a bar and grill at the roof top with a view of the city. I highly recommend it!
Wow, what an interesting food market in Cebu City. It is always interesting hearing and seeing your interactions with the local people. With all the different Dialects it must be difficult for the local people to communicate and understand each other.
we have a common language and that is tagalog, so its easy to communicate, majority understand and can speak tagalog
Not really becoz most of the people went to school so we can communicate in Tagalog the official language when you go to school 😃😃 interaction with people is a good way of feeling at ease.
No matter what dialect one speaks or region he came from, everyone can speak the national language, Filipino or Tagalog in particular. Majority of Pinoys also speak English which is the official language ot business, government and education. It must be cozy being monolingual. Lol
Enjoy jonathan
YAYYY more vid love it 💙❤💜👍👍
I love watching your videos. I don’t dare to skip ads 😀😀👍👍🙏🙏🙏
I fell in love with the oxtail kare kare I found in some market place, I never had anything like it. With the shrimp paste!

I love my place Cebu thanks for featuring it i miss my place and my country🤗
Great vid and good choice with the sisig!
Also, fun fact since you seem really interested with our language hehe... "Filipino" (along with English) is the official language in the Philippines and was standardized and derived from other dialects primarily the Tagalog dialect. Languages are used broadly while dialects are more particular to a certain (ethnic) group and often regional in use. We have hundreds of dialects here in the Philippines, and Tagalog and Hiligaynon are just few examples of them. :))
I hope you enjoy your stay in the Philippines!

Philippines is divided into 3 big island. Luzon is tagalog region, Visayas is Bisayan region and Mindanao is southern Bisayas where our Muslim brothers can be seen. But we have 7,600 plus islands and Islets.
Sisig is the best,.!!,.glad you've tried it.😁

Jonathan you were able to assimilate very quickly 😍enjoy your stay and be safe , Filipino’s are super friendly and non judgmental so join in and just have fun watching from the US.
Just walking around town trying to get free food only. I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that because it would make one a chip person. LOL
In Philippine English, "barbecue" is meat on a stick, so anything served on skewers is given a "cue" ending: banana cue, kamote cue, etc.
I used to work there before on “Tokyo Street 123” it’s a Japanese food stool!.. their Yakisoba a stir fried noodle and a Ramen is amazing it’s all my favorite also the Gyoza it’s very delicious 🤤 thanks for this content mate glad to see this store is still there love it
