    🔎 About socials:
If I tag socials, then this should be done for ALL players (without a single exception), and not just for one person. Socials of some players can not be found (players with default nicknames, some Asian players, etc). I am convinced that it's extremely dishonest to tag contacts of few people and not to tag all the rest, so there will be no social links in description.
But I respect the players whose matches I post. Therefore, if you are sure that videos presented "as is" are not acceptable, I will stop posting content with your participation and remove the ones posted earlier.
If you want to tag socials by yourself, feel free to post usernames in comment section (CZcams may remove links).

⚠️ All of the footage was captured by me directly from the in-game replay system (openly available for all players to view and share public replays) then edited in DaVinci Resolve. All footage represented on my channel is copyright free. The purpose of these videos is to provide educational high level content of Guilty Gear Strive, so the viewer can learn new combos and more!

I’m not fantastic at this game and haven’t done my HW on defending against elphelt, but I love watching high level matches of her.
Against opponents that represent 6p and abare it’s cool to see how much she has to adapt her offense to strong players. Still hate playing against her but that’s on me

PRC gives weird propeties to characters´ momentun if you cancel a move that moves your character in the air. Sol and I-no players use this technique a lot

giovanna can also do it, basically any move that moves your character into the air into PRC, so giovanna 214S into PRC. Elphelt in this case used grenade into PRC.

For people complaning about Elphelt, just use 6P if you blocked 2HS and you will interrupt her rekka and granade (her only two safe pressure enders) most of the time(Or use 6P whenver you feel a rekka/granade is coming). In fact, if your character has a DP, use this one for stop her in a more reliable way, or a reversal super if you have enough Tension. Even better, if you play Sol or Chipp, use 5k / 5p respectively and you will invalidate them completly, not matter what button she uses before the rekka/granade, yours will simply win the interaction.
The character is not as good as she looks and suffers a lot from being really easy to predict and having almost no variety that doesn´t imply put herlself in risk.
Edit: Ignore most of this comment and go to the replies, a guy responded me with a much better explanation of how Elphelt usually fights

Unfortunately, most of what you say here is inaccurate. Firstly, Elphelt does not usually use 6H in pressure, it's so slow as to be interuptable from any of its cancel options. Even if you do block 6H, your own 6P will interupt neither the rekka or grenade. I just tested it in training mode.
Elphelt will usually attempt to enter into the rekka after making you block 5H. This leaves a 2 frame gap that can neither be interupted by a 6P nor a 3 frame button. Grenade is most often used for Oki, and therefore you can't mash out of it either. If the Grenade crosses up, you won't be able to use an invincible DP either.
Even if she were vulnerable to mashing 6P into her offense, that is true of a lot of characters in this game. Elphelt, like these other characters, will attempt to play RPS with the defender. If 6P beats the cancel option, she can always just not cancel, and get a free whiff punish on your 6P. It's never as simple as "just use 6P".

@@aidenrobley504 Thank you for the explanation then. I wrote all of that using my experience playing Elphlelt (Wich speaks volumes of how bad I´m with her but, whatever, I must take the L). Almost everytime I try to start a blockstring, I easlily get interrupted, but that seems to be my (skill) issue more than El´s, guess I gotta get better with her 😅.
And I just realized, I wasn´t talking about 6H, I was talking about 2H, but I write it wrong lol, l´ll correct it now. Still, I don´t think that changes a lot of what you say.

    • @bluawesome1583
      @bluawesome1583 Před 4 měsíci +1

Same here tbh, I usually get interrupted out of my own Rekkas too, so it never really feels like I have pure dominance unless my opponent just straight up doesn't know what to do or just decide to never attempt to press a button. Lmao
I'm not particularly fantastic at this game either (as I started playing shortly after Elphelt's release) but from my own experience so far, I don't feel like she particularly dominates anyone. Most either feel even or honestly feels like she loses to characters.
Hell, my biggest struggle characters to fight with her currently are Potemkin, Bedman, and Nago.

@@aidenrobley504besides 6P you can backdash both 5H or rekka afterwards if you’re locked in it’s pretty simple rps when it comes to stopping her from getting to her mix once she does i mean yeah you can guess right but mainly just try to stay calm and use resources to get out

@@yata7450 Oh, I have since gone to the elphelt discord. Turns out directional prc is the way to go for distance, but you have to cancel the prc into an attack to maintain the momentum. It's a hell of an imput.
