This is one of my favorite games. I have the original with English paste-ups and it is very hard to detect that the components were not originally in English. I will keep it forever. I was very interested in the Hollywood Golden Age version, but the board throws me off. Thanks for such a great in depth study of this overlooked game!
Hi Fer, it's the number of actor tiles. (Plus "stars", i.e. guest stars, cameos. They're called different things in different editions.) So it's valid to get a bunch of low-star actors, because they'll help you at the parties!
@@BoardGems thanks. Yes, cameos is exactly what i thought the 'guest stars' were, it explains why they are optional The translations should have used that word instead of stars or guest stars. I have just bought the Korean version which is the same as Ludonova. I am sure it is going to be perfect for our group. Also bought Big Boss and Leonardo da Vinci.

I agree! The quality of the new version is great, but the board is a bit off-putting. I prefer the clarity of.. well, all the other editions! Cheers!
There is a new version just launched in Brazil, it's called Cine Pipoca. Haven't played yet but the art looks great!
