Watching her talk is therapeutic honestly
try watching her AD video on repeat 😊
this comnent is enough
She should read audiobooks. I’d probably listen more.
Oh my god!!! I was gonna say that!!!! 😂😭
Honestly I feel this way too! Just watching every video she’s in helps me through stuff lol
Blake Lively and Dakota share this air of intelligence, class, and beauty. I see how these women put so much heart, and put so much devotion in their roles.
They're quite mediocre actresses, but at least Dakota is an interesting person.
Joana Vitorino girl bye👋🏻
@@joanavitorino1436 Dakota has some versatility, Blake is definitely mediocre tho.
@@joanavitorino1436 Dakota has some great emotional moments in Black Mass and Lost Daughter, but also I think she needs stronger roles. Blake is moreso mediocre but I feel like both actresses really care and are eager to learn about their projects instead of coasting off looks and fame.
IDK Blake seems trashy to me 🤣
I wish they highlighted her role in “How to Be Single”. That was one of my most favorite Dakota movies!
Yes!
Tru
Dakota just brings us all this sense of peace and grace. She’s literally the best.
i wish she did BLACKED or BLACKEDRAW
She does love her personality
You are the first person to really get her as a person.I love everything you said about her because she is the women in all of us and not afraid to do it or say it. 👏👏👏👏
@@naomichisholm7709 her career isnt finished or reached its peak if she dont do BLACKED or BLACKEDraw
@@MrMuaythai84 what’s blacked ?
Actually, no, that's not the truth, Ellen. You were invited.
Absolutely iconic.
I didnt even know that you liked me
They need to do a film about that🤣
The way Dakota Johnson made Anastasia Steele not only a lovable but also compelling character really shows her skill, and as someone who always made fun of the Fifty Shades series I was very surprised (and impressed) by the way she portrayed the main character. It's very interesting to see her point of view as an actress, trying to earnestly bring the character to life and learn all about the world of BDSM. She made Anastasia a far more interesting character than she is in the novels. I still think the story itself is meh but that's got nothing to do with her
I actually liked book Anastasia better but Dakota's performance was hilarious (in a good way) lol the way she brought Anastasia's innocent reactions and gullible nature to life was everything 🤣
I agree!
I love Dakota, as a person and as an actress, but that movie is absolutely awful.
That movie is a nauseatingly in-accurate and disrespectful portrayal of a facet of the world of bdsm that completely ignores its essence of boundaries, ongoing consent, and mutual satisfaction, respect, and safety.
I wasn’t able to watch more than 15 minutes of it.
Exactly. Book Anastasia is very....wattpad-ish. Movie Anastasia had character. ❤️
@@winxclubstellamusa omg exactly im only 15 and decided to watch it last night and i'm so traumatized by it
I was crying my eyes out, it's absolutely disgusting to me😭
Can we get Dakota to read audiobooks? Oh man her voice 😍
She's prime example of a beautiful woman that's soft and well-spoken but also assertive and badass af when she wants to. Great actress too
Yes, I love that about her too! How she is super soft yet super assertive at the same time.
I wish they didn’t skip Bad Times at The El Royal! Brilliant but underrated film. Original, creative screenplay. Her character was so packed with unconditional love and sadness. She delivered the role perfectly.
My favorite role of hers
I watched the movie expecting nothing and it ended up being sooo awesome! Nice surprise:)
5:13 this moment could legitimately be in The Office lmao
Never knew she was Melanie Griffith’s daughter. Never knew Antonio banderas was her step dad. Just love her for who she is in her acting. Great actress. And her voice is so soothing.
Lol😂 you must be a young person she was at a award show with her dad and brother. Then another one with Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas and she was so cute and handled her self and well spoken. Soft spoken and endearing. 🥰🥰🥰 Lovely family 😍 😍 ❤ ❤
And her grandmother is Tippi Hedren!
Her dad is Don Johnson…
@@Yudit346 yes this!! I watched a vid on how Tippi Hedren literally started the whole movement of Vietnamese nail salons. She volunteered at a refugee camp in Cali and had her manicurist teach them, and they taught others and so on and so forth... so that is why a lot of nail salons are Vietnamese owned and operated. Kinda neat.
As an actress, I empathise so deeply with what happened to Dakota in Black Mass. It takes a lot of prep to truly give yourself to the overwhelming emotion of a character. Once you break through, it is the most incredible experience and you feel so relieved and satisfied. To be told that wasn't captured would be so hard as it's very hard to get back to that place again.
The actor's life is weird.
The final cut of the scene seemed great so I can' only imagine how much better would be the original. I wouldn't discard it was sabotage to avoid her upstaging other actors.
Seems almost like Sabotage? I can’t imagine all those takes and they ALL were out of focus? Fishy
@@lms1190 Super fishy. She was informed of it 8 HOURS later!!! Isn't the director literally looking at recording monitors simultaneously while the actors are acting? Doesn't makes sense. Seems her worst and most upsetting experience yet.
@@benjaminroman916 In reality, time is money on a set and a director would be risking their entire career if they wasted time sabotaging actors. If a director thought an actor is over-performing, then they would just tell them to bring it back. I have been on sets before where we have gone a whole day filming to find out the boom wasn't recording so we had no audio. These things happen, and no one wants it.
I can listen to her over and over again 24/7.
Dakota Johnson may be soft spoken, but she has a big drive as an actress. She could also be a perfect narrator for audiobooks. Just because she was Anastasia Steele in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ doesn’t mean she could no longer do more to further maximize or maybe improve her acting capabilities. Now she’s gonna be starring in a Jane Austen book to movie adaptation. Dakota’s just a sweet soul. I hope to see more in diverse roles. She deserves it.
She was born for acting. Really like her and the choices she makes in characters.
im so in love with this woman and im so happy she’s finally receiving the recognition she deserves!! such a great actress and such an incredible range
Puahahahhahahahaahhahaha no. Have better taste.
Anastasia Steele will always remain her most iconic role 🙌
I hope not, she will have such a long career I hope her most iconic is yet to come
The Lost Daughter was incredible… the acting, videography, audio and music was absolute perfection. Everything felt so tense, stifled and haunting-a claustrophobic fever dream. That was by far my favorite role of hers and really solidified her in my book as the kind of actress who always delivers
She’s so soft spoken it makes you have to listen harder but in a compelling kinda way
most of her characters begins with letter "A". not obsessed just a die hard fan of dakota and finally she is recognized and she deserved it.
the fact that they skipped bigger splash is a CRIME !
The "that's not true, Ellen" meme shoulda been included as the HIGHEST POINT in her career,
Our Friend is such a devastatingly underrated film.
It was so beautiful. She was great in that.
She is so bubbly, I love her personality so much. Her voice is so soothing to ears, somehow it’s so relaxing, soulful and satisfying.
She was absolutely amazing in The Lost Daughter!!
She was amazing in that
She was excellent! Hated the movie though.
The serenity of her presence really soothes me
❤️❤️❤️
Anyone else kinda upset that she didn't talk about cha cha real smooth
Yeah missed opportunity for sure
Love Dakota. Something about her seems really honest and authentic in an industry that is the antithesis of that🥰
I could watch Dakota Johnson's interviews all day. She's such a delight to watch , she's charmingly beautiful, and natural sense of humour, I love her tone of speaking, she is graceful and plus always has the perfect outfit on.
Ugh love her. Loved hearing about Suspiria in particular.
Ben and Kate will always be one of my favorite shows!! It was not given a fair chance, such a mistake canceling it so early :(
Love her, she would do amazing and be such a different role for to be in a suspense type thriller/horror. Her demeanor would be so unsettling and creepy in that setting
Watch Suspiria...
She was great in Suspiria! I hope she does more horror films. Or psychological thrillers.
Her voice making me so calm.
Suspiria is so good, one of my most favorite movies!!!
she's breathtaking
Criminal that they didn’t discuss how to be single
What about the High Note? That movie was so beautiful 🥹
I loved that movie!
Beautiful woman inside and out.
Would have loved to see Peanut butter falcon here.
Me too! That movie is incredible, but they probably avoided it because of Shias allegations.
She's so sweet and talented
I love thissss♡♡♡
Dakota Johnson really sold me on her talent when I saw Black Mass, Peanut Butter Falcon, and The Lost Daughter.
Same. She was incredible in The Lost Daughter!
First - I can't believe it, I never thought I'd get it, but here we are. Thanks to everyone for the tremendous effort, I couldn't have done it without you!
Support her since 2014 😍 I am so proud, this is the only beginning for her 👌
Dakota is literally my icon. I would definitely want to be like her. She is talented, beautiful, kind, and everything that I aspire to be.
Dakota has such a soft nature but a powerful energy. Never vindictive and always grounded. I absolutely LOVE her.
Awesome love hearing her breakdown her career so easy going and is and she's been in quite a bit
I love her so much, she's truly an inspiration. Eloquent and exquisite. I am thrilled seeing her growing and recognized of her hardwork.
It`s just pleasant to hear her voice and look at her. She is classy as always
Dakota in Black Mass was so underrated 😭
amazing
I could listen to Dakota talk forever also she is so talented and amazing at what she does
I just rewatched all of her movies. Including fifty shades, to be honest she played anastasia steele’s character true and honest, she gave it sass and a balance between vulnerability and empowered women with self worth and she did that without her clothes on. She carried that movie for sure. There was a certain calm about her acting that I really like. I love her in cha cha real smooth as well, she was really good on that movie.
I love Dakota! 😍 and love her voice... I could listen to her talk for hours. 😍
I remember Dakota in Beastly which was one of her first roles, which also featured Vanessa Hudgens, Alex Pettyfer and Mary-Kate Olsen.
The accent thing in Persuasion is super interesting, I often hear that it is easier for English people to do an American accent than it is for American people to do an English accent. I think Dakota does really well though.
Love this interview and how she spoke about her co stars. She spoke highly of them. She never cut them down.🥰🥰🥰🎬🎬🎬
Now bring Kate Winslet, Jennifer Connelly, Gwyneth Paltrow & Catherine zeta Jones 🥰
DAKOTA’S ABSOLUTELY PERFECT😍😍😍
Dakota’s voice is so relaxing and lovely. I wish she would make an ASMR video or narrate an audiobook. 💕
I want a Dakota show and listening her 24/7 😊
Dakota is an absolute angel.
Idk if I want to be friends with her or propose to her. Imagine falling asleep to her talking every night… Better than a noise machine lmao
Also- Dakota does this very subtle thing when she acts where she brings life into her eyes by giving them subtle movements like she’s genuinely looking over the person she’s talking to (acting with). Lots of actors tend to forget to give their eyes life when they act. Truly makes a difference in performance
Shes really classy when she talks
*Dakota Johnson hated being ‘involved’ in the JD and AH TRIAL*
*“I was like, ‘For the love of God, why? Why am I involved in this?’” Dakota recently explained to Vanity Fair. “I don’t remember that at all, but please, take me out of this. Don’t let this go further.”*
*“Can you imagine, oh, my God, if I was called to the witness stand?” Dakota continued. “I can’t believe that people are watching the trial like it’s a show. It’s like it’s a courtroom drama and my heart breaks. It’s so, so, so crazy. Humans are so f*king weird. The internet is a wild, wild place.”*
I’m obsessed with her. No video you could make with her in it would ever be long enough. She’s so incredible, talented, genuine - just the best.
I love her, she’s the best💗
She is absolutely mesmerizing!
Would love to see Mia Wasikowska and Dakota Johnson interviewing each other. ☁️😇
I always appreciate her perspective, so influenced by growing up surrounded by fame and iconic people.
I love her voice and i love her acting too ♡
Her Voice is so calming
Ugh, why did they skip Beastly? That's where I first saw her lol!
She is the most amazing human being, cool and mysterious all at the same time , she's a kind of person who can make you feel comfortable even if you meet her for the very first time .
How does this interview not include Dakota Johnson's two best performances & films (she's barely in The Social Network so that doesn't count)???
- Peanut Butter Falcon (2019)
- Cha Cha Real Smooth (2022)
I wish there's an audiobook with her voice on it 😔 is there any ?
She's the best ❤
Dakota is the best
i cannot believe they just skipped 21 jump street like that
I love 😍DJ😍 I love her eyes and voice her accent is so pure 😍 she's actually OSM . My all time favourite 😍DJ 😍 she's always number 1 for me 😍
i love her so much i love her energy i love her acting i love her style
So refreshingly honest
her voice is so soothing i could listen to it forever ❤️
just love the way she talks so calming and alluring
I love her so so much 🥺 A shame they didn't let her speak about Peanut Butter Falcon, that's one of my favourite films of all time!
That movie was so crazy but I liked it.
2:50 Terrence Malick visited David Fincher on the set of The Social Network?!?!
Noooo you skipped the El Royale! I loved that film and wanted to hear about it
Ben and Kate was a really great show! Very disappointed that it was only 1 season.
I love listening to her views & experiences in the movie industry, she's definitely more intuitive natured it seems. Love her.
La amo
Ill give my whole bank account just for her to make an asmr video.
Are we not gonna acknowledge that Sam Taylor Johnson is a groomer and she did fifty shades was maybe bc it’s how she was with her (Husband). He was the submissive a minor.
i do agree that she's a groomer but that's a different dynamic to a bdsm sub and dom. also, she probably just wanted to do it because the book was _HUGE_
She speaks so eloquently and enunciates so well.
I love Dakota❤️
Blackfish was very eye opening
“My stepdad” and its Antonio banderas omg lol
I want to see Persuasion.
The way fifty shades is misspelled the second time it’s on 😂
Perfect interview
I never could see the resemblance with her mom until i did a double take at 0:35. They are identical!
Dakota is soooo charming!!!!!
Actors that don't have parents in the business... are not going to get past the nepotism factor ... but she is lovely.
I was hoping she’d talk about CHA CHA REAL SMOOTH
