if you want another secret identity trope ‘Love Letters to the Lost’ is a good one.
this girl loses her mom and as a way to cope she writes letters to her mom and leaves them at her grave. the bad boy from her school finds the letters and starts writing back to her but they have no idea who the other person is.

I really enjoyed Cool for the Summer! It had some of the vibes of classic YA beachy stories that I read back in the mid to late 2000s. But with a bisexual twist.
