When you were talking about rereading the HP series and you said “2011” I momentarily went like “oh, that wasn’t that long ago”. But then I realized it’s 2019 and I’m old AF

For real, you forget how good the Harry Potter books are, the storytelling is so insane. Sometimes I think the movies cloud my judgement. Obviously, the movies are great but they don’t have the expansive ability of the books to have everything in the wizarding world woven in like the books do.
The end of Saga 9 made me throw it across the room and scream. While also crying. It makes it worse that the creators are taking a year break too. Ughhhhhh. My heart!

I started reading skyward while on a longish car ride (5 hours) and omg I got sucked in it so quickly that I stayed in the hotel until I finished it while my family went out shopping and stuff

Yes you should include e-books and audiobooks in your reviews. I once had to rent a storage area, had ... 8 box's of books stored, then bought second copies of some books at a used books store because it was simpler than going to storage and un-packing box's to find the titles. Ebooks are SO more transportable.
That feel when you reach the end of the chapter so you can say you're technically on the next page!
I really need to read Saga.

Reading saga is A MOOD
OMG! I love this! I love you! I love all of your insightful thoughts on story and storytelling and craft and all the different plots in all of the things and I JUST WANNA TALK TO YOU ABOUT IT ALL THE TIME!!!! I also need to do a reread of HP. I think I've only actually read 6 and 7 like once and that is a CRIME! I'm super excited for Nevermoor it sounds so fun and I am here for it! Also, your clip of your reaction to that SAGA volume = omg actual lol I love it this is incredible! This was such a fun reading vlog! I'm OBSESSED with listening to Jim Dale narrate the Harry Potter books! When he reads Hagrid I literally think Robby Coltraine came in to read for Hagrid lol. I plan to restart listening to the series for the third time this month :)

The thought of moving house with all my concert and idol Goods is just... I feel your pain xD BTW!! I was never really into KPop (used to listen to TVXQ and Shinee back in 2009 but nothing serious) until Super Junior took over my entire life this July and I saw them twice in concert!! I know they aren’t exactly up your alley (you prefer BTS and the 3rd gens right?) but I wanted to let you know that a follower of yours has finally fallen and joined you in KPop hell xD luckily I live in Japan so my KPop coworker will probably drag me to Korea a few times this year haha you should join us! XD

omg Kat. I finished my Goodreads challenge but for some reason I got it into my head that I HAD to finish HP and the Order of the Phoenix. I read it all day New Years Eve but didn't make it because its a brick of a book. Up till now I've been reading one HP book a year so I felt bad that I hadn't completed it. It's my first full reread and I am amazed at how good those books are.

The Saga reaction was too real. I needed a hug after I finished volume 9..... now they’re on a break so we have to wait until they start back up again to know what happens......my heart still hurts.
I'll be attempting to read around 60 books this year. Maybe more if I can manage ! Guess it is a good resolution if not the best I've ever had : reading and more reading; for reading is life ! :)

Maybe you could do a vlog for each book you're reading that one of your friends recommended? So instead of doing a week of just reading and vloging for these books you could do single vlogs and make it a little series on your channel.... just an idea.
I'm a mood reader too, that's why I don't do tbrs. So reading book recs back to back for a week or even longer sounds a bit terrible to me 🙈
But I'd love to see what you're reading because of your friends and how you like the books.

Skyward is a masterpiece. Saga us one of my favorites. Also The Afterlife of Holly Chase was amazing too.
I loved Nevermoor! Also, Jessica Townsend has said she has plans for about 9 different books in this series ;)
I read 52 books in 2018, which surprised me because I was only reading 15-20 books in previous years. My 2019 goal is 100 books, including books for the PopSugar reading challenge, and I'm also going to declutter my personal library. Anything I give 3/5 or less will most likely go. I've also made sure to choose some shorter books to help me reach 100 books.

Lol, yeah I had pretty much the exact same reaction to the end of Saga Vol 9.
I had my worst reading year in years and years - but I was also horrifically depressed because of my work situation. I hope this year will be better. Praise Dog I got a new job, so, I hope to limit myself to buying only 5 books this year, and reading some of the over x-hundred (I'm too embarrassed by my giant tbr to actually say the actual #) books I already own. But I'm not missing out on new Seanan McGuire books this year.
Saga volume 9...WTF is RIGHT!!! I just can't with that one right now. And they are going on a writing hiatus for at least A YEAR!!! WHY?!?!? Good job on finishing your Goodreads challenge. Sad you had to end it the way you did ;-) Good luck in 2019
