It's Academic FINAL: Sandy Spring Friends, Rockville and Blake | June 29, 2024

We've reached the FINAL of our 2023-2024 IT'S ACADEMIC season! This week, students from James Hubert Blake High School in Colesville, MD; Sandy Spring Friends School in Ashton-Sandy Spring, MD; and Rockville High School in Rockville, MD square off to see which school will be crowned the champion!
The Guinness Book of World Records has recognized IT'S ACADEMIC as the world's longest-running tv quiz show. Started back in 1961, the weekly program features teams from Washington DC metropolitan area schools -- public, private, parochial, charter, urban, suburban and rural. Host Hillary Howard leads the teams through a fast paced academic competition, testing their knowledge in a wide range of subjects including math, literature, science, history and more. The high school quiz show is filmed before a live studio audience and broadcast on WETA PBS and WETA Metro. IT'S ACADEMIC is produced by Altman Productions in association with David M. Rubenstein Productions.
