I really enjoyed watching your thought process as you were trying to figure out how it all worked. I own one of these and you did very well. Most people mistake the bottom of the griddle for a grill. But as you quickly figured out, it interlocks with the grill for better heat transfer and stability. The 651is one of Ninja's finest creations and an amazing steal at $179. I paid $220 for mine and thought I stole it. At $179 I'm thinking of getting another to use as a gift or save for backup. I also have the 551 which I had for a couple of years before getting the 651 and I use them both, sometimes at the same time! I have them on opposite sides of the kitchen so they are on different circuits and they work great. They both have irreplaceable features that are different from the other. The 551 has the 4qt "pot" that is great for cooking bacon in. There is no better way to cook bacon than air fried in that pot. And the 651 has the heating element built into the grill for getting a great sear on steaks and burgers. Nothing can beat the combination of the heated grill and air fry method for cooking these meats to crispy medium rare perfection! And so quickly too. The combination of owning both of these two amazing appliances is second to none. You're going to love your new purchase but don't get rid of the 551. That pot is irreplaceable and there is no way to duplicate it with the 651. Congratulations on your new purchase! 😎👍

In case Mitch doesn't reply, he does have "what I cook in a day" videos that show his typical daily intake. Pretty sure he still does a half lb of bacon and 5 eggs his 1st meal, and some type of beef or fish and sometimes chicken his 2nd meal. His beef days would be the highest, estimated at 2000 calories, using one lb of 73/27 ground beef as an example, but when eating chicken or fish, less calories and fat, unless he eats all of the bacon grease he cooks with. 😊

@@papinoo1159 So are you overweight eating 1500 calories? How tall? Activity level? Do you know your TDEE? Lots of factors involved. I'm only 5'2, 63, and generally eat around 2000 a day, oftentimes more, but have very high activity level, do strength training and elliptical HIIT 3 days a week, plus vigorous walking most every day, 3-6 miles. It took me 18 months to lose 140 lbs with keto and carnivore, and I'm pretty much at my goal weight now.

@@terised Right now I need to lose 40 pounds. I started needing to lose 28 lbs but with gaining 12 more I am at 40lbs to lose. I'm 5'9" and 220 lbs. My TDEE says that on 1500 calories I should lose a lb per week. Fat chance. My exercise level has tapered quite a bit because it is so hot here in Arizona. We are in the 110-120 degree range until late September and I take the heat very seriously. It can be lethal! Out of the hundreds of people I have interacted with trying to find an answer one man did point out that it was not until he cut butter out that things started succeeding. So I am doing meat only! No butter, no eggs, no bacon! Just started that so I'll have more data at the end of July. Before this, I felt like I had swallowed a bowling ball after each meal!
I must say that doing meat only makes it a lot easier to digest food. Much easier! And I can eat within a 4-hour window easily. Trying to get to 2000 calories in is still a battle of wills although doing meat only is a lot easier to digest. I can do 1500 calories more easily. When I did not eat carnivore I could eat like a pig. Now 6 mouthfuls and my stomach shuts down. I can only eat 500 calories in one sitting and then I have to let 2-3 hours go by before I can eat again. This is all before implementing meat only. I can bump the meals to 750 calories but only 2 meals. Any more and I feel sick! Thanks again for all your help!

      @singsongcindy8865 Před měsícem

@@papinoo1159(this is going to be long because I hear your frustration and hope you don’t give up on your healing)
there are so many variables in finding the version of carnivore that heals YOU: when you eat, exactly what you eat (your fat and protein macros very much matter), how often you eat, if and when you fast, what diseases you have and what medications and supplements you take, your metabolism, your current fitness level and current exercise and movement choices to name a few variables.
Have you looked at one of the free carnivore TDEE calculators? That is an important number to know. I am 65 yr old female. If I enter my info and say I am completely SEDENTARY, I would need 1500 calories to NOT sabotage my metabolism.
Based on being in several good carnivore groups in past 6 months, I would guess you are UNDER eating and/or not eating enough fat for your body to heal and reset to a proper functioning metabolism. But again, there are so many moving parts and EVERY body is different. Maybe you have chronic stress and/or don’t get enough sleep. That will definitely affect your results.
You absolutely CAN get to 2000 calories a day. One of the carnivore coaches recommended digestive enzymes if you were struggling to take in enough meat. Worked like a charm for me (had been on GERD meds for 10+ years thanks to that healthy high fiber vegetarian lifestyle). Took enzymes before each meal for a couple of months. Haven’t needed them since. The other recommendation was to do 3 smaller meals instead of the 2 larger meals that I prefer. That also helped me to acclimate. There are so many things that could help you if you experiment!
The carnivore doctors are NOT idiots, NOT corrupt, and are obviously more knowledgeable than our beloved Mitch. But they are not YOUR personal doctor and cannot possibly know in a short, public chat every variable in your medical past, or your past year of carnivore and lifestyle choices.
My REAL TDEE is 1800-2000 calories depending on my exercise levels for the day. I have consistently eaten MORE than 2,000 high fat, high sodium calories every day for six months in order to heal my body. I have lost 42 pounds in that time frame. When I pulled back on my calories (because I had a month of being meat weary and went OMAD and about 1500 calories a day) I gained 2 pounds.
So much damage has been done from the “eat less, exercise more, eat the pyramid” brainwashing unscientific nonsense. The other sabotaging factor is focusing on weight loss (the least exciting thing about carnivore is weight loss) instead of healing. A properly functioning body will wind up at its proper weight naturally.
There are many free carb and macro tracking apps. I think they are critically important early in carnivore if you are struggling to eat enough, not getting well, etc. Most of us do not have a good grasp on what we are actually consuming, and it is very hard to make sure you are getting enough fat early on.
I followed the advice of most of the carnivore docs and ate meat, eggs, butter, bacon til I was full. And entered that into Cronometer app. Note that I did not use Cronometer to tell me what to eat, but to track what I ate. You can make note of how you feel…I journaled mental and physical energy, GI comfort, bowels, sleep, etc.
I experimented with how many meals per day, timing and macros for the meals, my fasting window etc for 3 months. I found my groove around that time and no longer track anything unless I am making a change (like cutting back on intake and going OMAD which was an epic fail for me).
I hope you keep experimenting and trying new things. I wish you success in healing yourself. It truly feels miraculous when you figure out the operating system for your own physiology.
If you watch enough carnivore stories and read thru the comments you will see so many ways people are healing in their own time and way. I almost let all of those very loud and visible carnivore “influencers” who lost a million pounds and cured 42 diseases in 30 days turn me off of carnivore because my results were so very different. Instead I focused on people who stayed faithfully carnivore for 6 months to 2 YEARS before they saw significant healing, weight loss etc. THEY are my heroes! Find YOUR heroes and let them encourage you.
I have had a lot of healing and have plenty left to heal after decades of vegan/vegetarian and SAD eating. I am confident this is the way our bodies are meant to be nourished. I am awestruck and humbled that this 65 year old body that has put up with so much nutritional abuse (that was supposed to be so healthy) and resulting diseases has come so far in such a short time frame! I am confident that within 2-4 years I will have undone 40 YEARS of unwitting self-sabotage and have a body that is working well into my 70s, 80s and 90s. CONFIDENT! And if the way I am implementing “carnivore” starts to fail me, I will tweak it until my body says I am giving it what it needs.
Wow, my first comment ever in here and it is a novel. Maybe no one will read it. That’s okay as it felt lovely to a) care about a strangers health, b) think back on my carnivore experiments, c) recount all my victories; and d) affirm that this is indeed a forever lifestyle choice that I am 100% committed to.
Disclaimer: I reserve the right to experiment with clean ketovore if it appears that will work well for me. Not totally dogmatic here😉.

Hi Mitch... you are really making me laugh now... Why are you keeping so many of those devices? Give them to the Charity shops. I also go the Cuisinart and also found it impossible to clean so I gave it away. I had three Cosori Air fryers but two of them were recalled (they went to the City Dump) and the third I only used a few times as I went for the Dreo Chefmaker and that is the one I use now... It is compact and will do Sous Vide, grill with a probe, and air-fry... I use it every day to cook my frozen steaks. I also got the Ninja but I hated that one. The upper screen was impossible to clean. It took up too much space on my counter-top and it smoked too much. If I was you, I would be letting go of many of yours... I am now watching you live with Kerry...

Those Ninjas seem too big for one person to use. Do they make a smaller version? I really don't have the space for something that big.

Is meatloaf carnivore? Can’t afford rib eye. I do have a Walmart air fryer.

As long as you don't mix a lot of bread crumbs in meatloaf yes, it is carnivore, and I substitute pork rind crumbs in my meatloaf
