Yes, the conflict between Asgore and Toriel is a classic tragedy. Neither of them is completely in the wrong: Asgore isn't just about revenge, he truly wants to help his subjects and set them free from their underground prison. But Toriel loved her adopted human child and the thought of murdering children is unthinkable to her.
You missed an important song named Bergentrückung which takes place between Undertale(the song) and Your Best Nightmare and is the fight against Asgore. The original video was deleted but maybe you could check out the reupload before u watch the next videos.

War started over fear mostly from what understood
It's story time.
A long time ago, humans and monsters lived together in the surface. They differed not only because of their appearance but because of their souls. Human's souls are considerably strong, even able to endure after their death. Meanwhile, monster's souls are week and crumble to dust the moment they die. However, if a monster was to take a human soul, they would gain tremendous power. With seven human's souls, they would become a god. Somehow, the humans found out and began to fear the monsters. Following a short and heavily one sided war, the monsters where banished underground beneath Mt Ebbot and a magical barrier was put in place to prevent them from getting out.
Many years later, a human child named Chara fell in the underground. While not clearly stated, it is implied that Chara lived a miserable life on the surface and climbed Mt Ebbot in an attempt to end their life. However, they survived the fall and where found by Asriel, the monster prince. His parents, Asgore and Toriel, welcomed Chara into their family and the two royal children became inseparable. The friendship between Chara and Asriel filled the underground with hope, thinking that one day, humans and monsters could live together again.
But Chara had been hurt by humans to many times to believe in such a future. They hated humans and were convinced that the only way monsters could ever be free was to take the surface back by force. To that end, they formatted a plan with Asriel. Chara would poison themselves with buttercups so that Asriel could take their soul and use it to cross the barrier. Once on the other side, they would take six more humans souls and ascend to godhood, freeing the monsters. But when the time came, Asriel could not bring himself to take a life and was killed by humans who believed him to be responsible for Chara's death.
Despite his injuries, Asriel managed to regain the underground while carrying Chara's body and died in front of his parents. In rage, Asgore declared war on humanity and ordered the death of any human who would fall in the underground. With seven human souls, he would become a god and break the barrier. The monsters where once again filled with hope, but Toriel grew disgusted with her husband and left for the ruins, vowing to keep any humans that falls safe from him.
Six humans have since fallen and despite Toriel's best efforts, all where killed and their soul's stored at the royal palace. It is important to know that each of these humans embody one of the seven types of souls: bravery, justice, perseverance, patience, kindness and integrity. This leads us to our main character, frisk who's soul is determination and allow them to go back in time. As they fall down in the underground, so begins the game.

If you reset back to tell Toriel your preferred flavour of pie, she implies that the other fallen humans could reset just like Frisk. A similar thing (although slightly less clear-cut) happens if you talk to Asgore on a pacifist run after he's killed you.

After fight with Omega Flowey (form with 6 souls or huge shit) the souls of humans disappear and the mad flower is defeated. The man spares the Flowy, but the flower begins to provoke him. To this, the human child only spares him and spares him again. Flowey begins to sob, and runs away.
I would like the videos to be released more often. They are very interesting.
Is it me or Bergentruckung is missing? After Undertale and before Your best Nightmare and all that. As I see its missing on the playlist. Oh well, I guess you will see it on that live stream of the full thing.
Before fight with Flowey. In missing song human child fighting with Asgore (king of the monsters), in the end of the battle Asgore have a wound. Asgore says to human kinda like that: I didn't want a war, I wanted to find my son and wife Toriel again. Finish me off, take my soul and cross the barrier by going home. The man spares Asgore, and Asgore says that since you decided to stay, then we could be a new family. But Flowey comes, finishes off Asgore and takes the souls of 6 people, transforming himself into a huge shit.

Not exactly accidentally - Bergentruckung got taken down from MOTI's channel for some reason. It's still in the full package, though, and there are reuploads all over the place.
