Our students introduce you to the facilities and opportunities at the University Of Southampton Faculty Of Medicine, based within Southampton General Hospital.
Medicine at Southampton is a thriving and ambitious multidisciplinary faculty - a national leader in medical education, with an outstanding reputation for our combined expertise in research and teaching. Closely linked to the Trust and with a 40 year history, we have trained thousands of doctors and scientists, and have led cutting edge research in areas as diverse as cancer, osteoporosis, asthma and nutrition.
The UHS Trust is linked closely with the Faculty of Medicine and provides a wide range of healthcare services for Southampton, central southern England and the Channel Islands. It is a regional centre for Trauma as well as Cardiac, cancer neuro and specialist children's services. It is also home to the World Centre of Excellence in Asthma and Allergy.
