- Can You Still Make a Full Time Income on Facebook Marketplace in 2023?
Only about 3-4 months ago…it was STUPIDLY simple to make money dropshipping on Facebook Marketplace. All you had to do was copy products from amazon or ebay or Walmart….(or really any other website) and list them on facebook marketplace at a higher price…And they’d sell! Simply because the demand was so high and there was next to no competition on platform.
It was literally easier than stealing candy from a baby. Lately, everyone’s facebook sales have been down dramatically across the board. This goes for both shops and marketplace. So in today’s video I want to talk about whether or not you can STILL make a full time income selling on facebook marketplace.

I’ve gotten so many comments lately asking if my sales are down….and I’ve gotten suggested so many videos recently on how facebook marketplace dropshipping is dead….
To be honest, I thought about making one myself…b/c that’s always an easy video title to get views on.
But instead, I wanted to make a video I thought could actually help you. And in this video we’re going to cover what you can ACTUALLY do right now to increase your sales.
Now, I have several shops and a 2 marketplace accounts currently. And the reality is…yes sales are down across the board. That’s true.
1 of my shops is still doing pretty well and the other ones have kind of tapered down to about $1,000 profit per month.
Both of my marketplace accounts are down overall too. Last month the 1 did a little over 5K profit…and the other one only did almost 3.
So to answer the question of can you still make a full time income dropshipping on facebook marketplace….the answer is unequivocally yes. I’m still doing it.
BUT…it’s not a STUPID simple as it was 4 months ago and before that.
I remember making videos on monthly profit reports where I was doing upwards of 20K that month across all accounts.
And even though I’ve made decent money and have been an Entrepreneur for years…I’ve NEVER gotten results from something that was THAT easy and been THAT successful with one simple business model.
So, yes…if you’re still SOLELY listing saturated products from popular websites on to marketplace….your sales are going to suffer. It’s that simple.
It’s NOT enough to continue banging your head against the wall with the same exact strategies that worked in the beginning.
So, here updates I’ve noticed…and strategies I’ve implemented that I attribute to keeping my sales afloat. I hope they help you.
The first thing I’ve noticed is that there’s a different way to search now.
They’ve really developed the search function on both desktop and mobile for buyers.
It used to be a hodge podge of weird filters that didn’t even work half the time when you tried to sort with them.
But now (whether you search for something specific…or just browse in a category) it’s really easy to sort through important information to find products in different ways.
For instance…
- you can set the minimum and maximum price
- whether you’re looking to pickup locally or you’re open to ordering on marketplace and getting the product shipped to you
- the date listed
- whether it’s available or sold
- what the condition of the item you’re looking for is
- and even the brand
This is all great for prospective buyers. AND it’s great for product research to see what the competition is like for products you’re about to list as a seller.
You can search for a specific type of product, sort the condition as new with shipping, and literally see what other competitors are offering and for what price.
This will tell you right off the bat whether the product you’re about to list is saturated or not….AND whether your price is probably too high.
Don’t get me wrong…price isn’t the be all end all on marketplace….BUT this is certainly relevant information.
If there’s 100 other sellers listing the same relative product for $40 cheaper….the chance you’re going to sell yours is next to 0.

Excellent as always! Appreciate your information. Thanks Bryan!
Thanks, glad it helps! Always appreciate your support 🙏
I feel you! It's been a weird time! Awesome vid! Hopefully we can see that shops traffic return when they start charging that fee!
Appreciate that man! I definitely think we will too. Once they’re making $ off shops and they have everything sorted out after they’re beta testing is finished, they’ll have a reason to start pushing more traffic to it. 🙌👍
Bryan my man, great content as USUAL.
Appreciate that man!
Awesome video!
Thanks man!
4.38 Bryan how do you monitor stock, repricing and list fast other suppliers than Ebay< Amz>Wallmart? Most soft/listers work only with those.. How to list many items from other small suppliers fast?
I don’t track stock or prices. I do this: czcams.com/video/E6WA5x8yytw/video.html
Very informative 👍👋
Thanks, glad it helped! 👊
Great info, encouraging.
So this means you got your marketplace account back again? How long did that take? Just wondered in case it happens to me
Thanks, glad it helps! And my main account is still disabled (I’m waiting on an appeal from over sight board). I have other marketplace accounts and shops connected to them 👍
Hey, I really enjoy your videos and the information you provide. This might be a bit off topic, but I am curious though in terms of using Walmart and Amazon as suppliers. Often times both use shipping methods that are not compatible with FB marketplace. Amazon TBA numbers and Walmart uses Uber or something and there is no tracking number at all. I know there is track taco, but I have had issues where track taco, of course, shows delivred and so does Amazon or Walmart, but there is no connection between the two numbers TBA and Track Taco. The orders show delivered on both but the buyer swears the item was not received. This doesn't occur a lot, but enough to be a concern. Am I safe with track taco showing delivered as far as FB is concerned? I guess my question is how do I guarantee that both Amazon and Walmart will only use normal shipping methods? UPS, USPS, Fedex...thx for any assistance.
Yeah I would use track taco on those situations and then grab the snapshot of the delivery confirmation on Amazon (not showing amazon or price of course - just the item, delivered status, and buyers address), then also grab the picture of it delivered with typically comes with tba tracking numbers now. And present all that to the buyer and say hey it was delivered on x date at y time heres the proof of delivery.
Thank you Bryan for your wisdom. How do I market my shop on Facebook? I'm getting sales on Facebook Marketplace, but don't have any traffic going to my Facebook Shop.
Glad it helps! Make sure you’re shop is connected to marketplace so your listings show up there too. Then list more in demand products…and you can also boost them like I cover specifically in the video 👍
You ever have any issues with the microdata for the pixels? I have everything connected, but I can't figure out the microdata? Did you have to edit any code for this to work?
No I never had any issues with it. It just linked immediately
@Bryan Do you have tutorial how to use pixels and list items to multiple shops?
I don’t have one specifically on that
Drop shipping on the marketplace via using a face book shops marketplace sales channel does not work anymore. Facebook has picked up on drop shippers and suppresses marketplace listings when the user searches with delivery method "All" filter. Since the "All" filter is the default most listings will never be displayed. The "Shipping" filter does work but it it hit or miss and is very sporadic with its search accuracy. I have over 7000 skus in my Facebook shop and not one is found when searching the marketplace using the delivery method "All" filter even though the marketplace sales channel is enabled. I can't find any of my competitors listings either. This was not always the case. Something has changed with Facebooks algorithms and or policies.
Agreed: czcams.com/video/uqcjc-NjIhk/video.html
@@BryanGuerratv thanks, I have spent countless hours going back an forth with Meta support who had me going in circles, repeatedly asking me to submit the same information over and over. I had thought it was perhaps a technical issue. Apparently it seems to be an issue across the board. It's too bad since I was doing quite well with it for about a year and a half. I still update my inventory every day since it is fairly easy with CSV but sales really dropped to nearly nothing for me as of late. I would try doing it with a stand alone web site but the sales tax tracking and filing would be a nightmare.
Hey Bryan, I watch your videos. Do you have a video on having multiple Facebook accounts? I want to have two or three but my info would have to be the same. How do you get around that? Do you have a video I could watch? Thanks Man!
I don’t have a video up on that. I just use friends and family’s accounts
Wow another lit video. Where can I get more information?
Appreciate that Mike! Hope all is well man 👊 there’s plenty of videos on marketplace on this channel. Checkout the most recently uploaded ones in the Facebook marketplace dropshipping playlist
Hey Bryan! Do you have recommendations for locations to sell in? I am currently selling in the Netherlands, but i'm searching for another place to open a Marketplace account.
For Facebook, I’d sell where you live on marketplace. You can open a shop and sell globally though.
Hey if you're using a family members Facebook account do You enter YOUR information when it asks for it in the marketplace with THEIR SSN? Just trying to do the right thing. I'd imagine you enter your information with your SSN but I think Facebook would catch on that the Facebook user is using someone else's name for marketplace? Any guidance! Thank you
I’ve heard of people using their own…but I’m not sure that would work long term. It would most likely result in both or at least the new account getting disabled or in trouble. So I don’t have any experience with that. The best way that’s worked for me is use someone else’s account with their SSN and then claim that persons FB as a DBA under your business. But I don’t really understand the specifics of it 100%. My accountant did it.
Great information mate. Been watching you over a year now. I sell on Facebook but not through Facebook. I simply ask the customer to send money onto my card. Any tips and hacks for that?
Thanks! Appreciate it! I honestly don’t have too much experience that way. The only time I’ve had to do it that way was when my buy button got greyed out for a few days here and there. If that happened I’d just send the customer the direct PayPal me link
I have a question about the marketplace I've sold alot of things on there through door pick up get paid cash will I be charged income tax and need to report it? 🤔 I'm basically doing a virtual garage sale
Answered this on the other vid for you 👍

Hi Bryan great vid as always! Question: Several days ago I was hoping to get the shipping option on FBMP on my laptop to start dropshipping but it wasn’t offered to me at this time. Can you lead me to a vid of yours that addresses this issue? And can I still dropship on FB without and until they offer me the shipping option? Big thanks!
What country are you in and how long have you not had it for?
@@BryanGuerratv I’m in the US. Shipping option wasn’t available to me on desktop but was when I tried on my iPhone. Filled out bank info etc and am still waiting to hear back from them once they verify my info. Been waiting since last Monday and noticed they took down listing I used to obtain shipping on iPhone. Doesn’t look like I’ve been suspended or anything of sort because I see I still have option to list. So weird to me. Any thoughts? Should I try listing again you think? And how do they let you know your bank info has been verified? Thanks Bryan!
@@keredgilmore It can take a little while for them to verify your info/bank. If it's not verified in a few more days I'd reach out to support and try to inquire what the issue is to push it along.

Hello Bryan, i’m looking to do local facebook market flips. Rolex, furniture/decor, and clothes. Do you have any knowledge on this? I don’t want to drop ship, I want to flip.
I mainly focus on dropshipping on marketplace
If you use a Shopify as a "Master Account" do you then set your FB Marketplaces and shops as sales channels?
Yeah I connect it to the shop from my site…and on the shop I choose checkout on another site (not checkout on FB)
I find it strange that FB allows checkout off site. I wondering if that will be discontinued in the future when fees are reinstated. The benefits of listing seem huge either way.
@@gsp7788 I don’t think it’ll be discontinued…all the major companies use it. Most of them have checkout off FB
@@BryanGuerratv I'm late to this thread, but I feel the need to respond. Like you, I also use Shopify to connect to several Facebook Shops. I do so using an App. However, using the Checkout on another Site Option will result in your Shop NOT getting any Facebook Marketplace Organic Traffic (Hope you can prove me wrong). That's why I only checkout on Facebook. You can test this by Placing any of your listings in the Marketplace Search and they WILL NOT EVER show up in the Search. The opposite is true if you Checkout with Facebook. Listings will show up in Search. As a Full paying member of Resale University, I respect your teachings and hope you can prove me wrong on this one.

How are you getting on with sales? It’s gone down the drain for me. It’s good as dead for me anyway. I'm referring to the marketplace here. Can you do an updated video?
I don’t get many anymore on FB. It’s a ghost town
@@BryanGuerratv- Well, that makes me feel a little better. 😂 In all seriousness it’s a real shame because this time last year it was really good. I was getting plenty of sales with the shipping option which was a new feature. But they removed the shipping option from the UK.
I have completely lost access to sell on marketplace with my shop on Facebook. Any idea how to get that back? It’s not a restriction or anything. Just simply gone!
Sorry to hear that! Not sure why that would happen honestly. I would reach out to support and report it: czcams.com/video/YVwRbvLo0PQ/video.html
As a dropshipper, I have difficulty getting buyers, because in FBMP the average buyer wants to pick up directly and pay in advance, what is the solution to get buyers who transfer directly or want to pay via PayPal? Is FBM no longer making promises now?
I sell on FBMP Australia and there is no buy now button or shipping option to guarantee buyer safety
In that case I’d try direct PayPal me links and get paid first, then send them the tracking number for the item
@@BryanGuerratv Why is it that the average buyer on FBMP wants pick up for a dropshipper? It's very difficult :'(

Great vid but I do not agree with the shopify pixel being better then having customers buy straight through FB. What incentive does Facebook have to sell your product for free if others are getting facebook a 5% cut. But if you get just as much traffic I guess its worth it but I have heard you do not. Plus a lot of buyers are comforted by Facebooks buyer protection from an unknown shop/person on marketplace in my experience.
This is just what’s working best right now. Shop traffic is down when listing directly on Facebook…and this protects your accounts. Both approaches work. I do them both on different shops. Right now for me the pixel is working better, but that could changed in 2023 when FB finally starts charging 5% on shop transactions. Guess we’ll see ✌️
Any advice on chinese tracking # ? Facebook rejects it.
Yeah use track taco: czcams.com/video/gWEcw1gRAa0/video.html

I have almost 50,000 hot Amazon products now on the marketplace. Approximately how many sales and views should I be getting? So far, this idea has been a massive letdown.
