Sorrento is the perfect city to base your trips around the Amalfi Coast. Day trips to popular spots like Positano, Capri Island and Pompeii are all an hour away. Not to mention that the city is not on a cliffside or hill like other small towns in Italy. Touristy enough to have plenty of restaurants open at night and not as expensive as Capri or Positano. Will be back for more Limoncello for sure!!
