I had a Goodman like that ,where had no light i jumped the R and W then i got a light on board and the furnace started and fired up and ran fine after that

A bick ink stick pen with the ink cartridge removed are great tool's to removed those control boards.
I know that those control boards aren't cheap. A few hundred dollars a piece.
Those PCB boards are junk; very sensative to spikes and surges. I'd have that circuit protected by a surge protector breaker.
Unfortunately almost everything needs that nowadays.
I keep a couple universal boards around for emergencies
Now, now don't blame the control boards when it's the power spikes shorts out the board. Everyone house needs a whole house surge protector!!!
