my downpipe is the Killer B catless downpipe. No cat. I did tune for the appropriate mods on the car, and a "burble tune" was also added, however its not a tune specifically for flames, it just happens to shoot flames too.
Have you not ever had issues w boost creep with the catless downpipe? I’m thinking about getting one. I live in Oklahoma and we pretty much don’t get too cold like Texas

What fuel are you running on this tune? Just purchased my tune from Ambot with a catless J pipe, muffler deletes and intake curious to see if it shoots flames on 94 octane

So I have a 2016 wrx. No cats and muffler delete. I have a j pipe. Last thing on is my res. Will taking it off get it to sound like this? J pipe has been tuned to for check engine not on. When I shift it gunshots already and when I let off gas . Will doing a res delete allow it to burble when gas is off and shoot? I already shoot flames . Just looking for that noise that shoots constantly letting off gas
Ryzez no not really, you can get a burble tune to make it pop more but that’s about it. Otherwise it’s a very similar sound. Slightly deeper, probably more drone, and maybe slightly more rasp

Yes. This is done when doing an EBCS tho anyways. Before any etuning, I’d recommend and ebcs

It’s just an ets extreme. Nothing was cut or anything, but the ETS extreme is no mufflers, no resonators, full 3inch. This setup is very loud
So I have a muffler delete right now and my catless downpipe is getting shipped soon. I got a 15 wrx and going stage 2+. Do you think I will be able to shoot flames after this setup or will I need a resonator delete?
There’s a possibility that you can yes, and I’m not sure whether or not the stock resonator will restrict flames, but I don’t think it does.

just bought a 2020 sti. Really want to make it sound like this. It says the Killer B catless J-pipe is discontinued. Is there an alternative?
15+ wrx have different engines than previous wrx/sti’s so different parts.
15+ wrx has the FA20DIT.
while we do have different engines, and it wont quite sound the same, almost every catless downpipe is the same. 3inch straight stainless. pretty simple, other than that, its mostly just quality differences. they'll sound the same
i got a catless downpipe with a straight pipe single exit, is single exit louder than the regular quad exit ?
Don’t think it’s any louder. I had a tomei at one point, and that was quieter, but that’s because it has a muffler and a resonator

@@jeff346 I haven't had any issues with my catless setup currently. I also live in Texas where its warm 99% of the time, so boost creep is not so much of an issue. If you worry about it, you can always install external wastegates and not worry about the creep anymore.

at the time this video was recorded, The exhaust is a Killer B catless down pipe, and ETS Extreme non-resonated catback. Everything is there in the description.

at the time of this video, I was not very modded at all. Stage 2 really on 93. Made maybe 280whp. Now the car is nearly FBO and makes almost 380-400Whp

What else has been done to it. I have a 2018 DGM catless and straight piped with CAI and I'm just curious what mine sounds like at a drive by or outside the car. I'm curious if mine shoots flames. Just sucks you never know when youre the only one who drives your car with no go pro lol
its basically stage 2, meaning intake, catless downpipe, tgv and egr deletes, EBCS, and tune. also an ets extreme catback. the first way I found out I shot flames was a friend behind me saw them and told me. then they were able to get video of it.

No CEL, but a tune is required for almost every engine part you get on these cars.
@@wrxalex5217 that's what I heard, damn. If or when I do get a wrx or an sti, I'm thinking about just keeping it stock. Until I get full bolt ons all at once and then a Cobb tune to get by, then a proper tune
Yea, my recommendation, don’t stay on the Cobb tune very long, a protune or etune is best 👍🏻

tuners do it because people will pay for it. It's a trend that's popular right now. In 15 years it'll be something else. Its also getting more common now that turbo cars are becoming more popular
