  • GE Air Conditioner Error Code E8 (How To Fix Error Code E8 - Simple Steps You Can Do To Solve It!). In this video tutorial I will show you how to fix GE Air Conditioner Error Code E8.
The E8 error indicates there is a problem with the indoor fan motor or the evaporator coils.
The following are some of the common causes of the E8 error:
    • Overheating
    • Frost or ice buildup on the evaporator coils
    • Damaged fan blade
Now, let’s look at the best solutions you can apply to fix the E8 error:
Place the conditioner in an optimal location
    • Ensure the unit has sufficient airflow and is in an unobstructed location.
    • Additionally, inspect the sensor, fan blade, and air filter and clean any dust or debris on them. If they show signs of damage, ensure you replace them before using the appliance.
    Defrost the coils
    • Switch off the conditioner and unplug it from the power outlet.
    • Allow the frost or ice to melt over several hours.
    • Reconnect the appliance and switch it on to clear the error code.
    • If the problem persists, replace the evaporator coils.
    Check the fan blade
    • Switch off the conditioner and unplug it.
    • Examine the fan blade to see if it has any signs of obstruction or damage.
