This is a wonderful slow and precise demonstration of the Cheng Man Ch'ing 37 short form. It would be interesting to know who she learned this form from. It seems to have come from the version taught by Huang Xing Xian. Clearly, the teacher in this video has been practising for a very long time and has really embraced the core principles of the form practice and development the internal aspect. I first learnt this form about 30 years ago, so I really appreciate the expertise of this teacher here. From watching this video I can see there are many things I need to improve on. It is like a never ending process to discover the depths of Tai Chi.
Thank you for support! This teacher is Huang Qiu Mei, the wife of Grand Master Ye Giong(Third generation master coach from Huang's Taiji), and she is the assistant coach of Huang's Taiji. She died of food poisoning while traveling on 7/6/2004. She is the daughter of Grand grand Master Huang Sheng Shyan. Her son Master Yek Xiu Wen ( Fourth Generation Master) is the master coach for Huang's Taiji now. As I know more of the students like her teaching methods.
@@AnthonyYap2828 thank you for the reply. I'm sorry she passed away in such an unexpected way. I'm sure she still would have had a lot to share with her students. It must have been a terrible shock for them at the time, very sad. I have never met any students of the Huang Taiji, only what I have seen on CZcams. I find it very interesting to see how some movements and transitions were modified slightly. It seems to be quite common that the more accomplished students, go on to develop their Taiji beyond what they were taught by their teachers and some go on to become established masters themselves. I'm still very much a beginner, but I enjoy my Taiji tremendously. I'm without a teacher or a school, so my practice is restricted to solo form work only. Videos like this are helpful and they give me inspiration to continue practising and trying some variations in the movements and transitions.
@@markdonovan1540 , i believe it would be much more ideal to learn under the supervision of a master proper to eliminate many mistakes usually would be made by self learning students . This is especially revealing in moving of hands instead of waist and more importantly with the flow of Qi .
@@szefoontan4054 I absolutely agree, although it's the student that must work to improve. Fortunately, I am blessed with two teachers who are helping me to delve deeper into Taiji as well as correct errors in form etc.

This video is what a beginner needs. However, it would be better if there is a booklet like this showing all the steps and commands that go along with these steps.
