    I understand about taking yourself away from situations. But unfortunately for me, I feel so guilty when I have to stop working when I feel that bad. Those moments when I could explode and don't want people to see me that way. It's a double-edged sword. Part of you wants to feel safe, go home and hide, only to suffer the consequences of not finishing my job and my customers think I'm lazy or careless. If only they knew. It's hard. I sympathize with all of you in here. Don't let anybody make you feel bad. They have no idea what it takes to get up every morning and want to just continue to exist. Don't get me wrong. I've never contemplated suicide. But there are times I do ask God to take me home. And that's very sad because I do have two grown children and a wife. And you'd think that would be enough to have you not even contemplate that. Cuz it just comes the time when you just get so tired. And you don't find answers. So I pray God gives me the patience and the strength to continue to try to get better. God bless all of you in here. Your survivors. Don't let anybody tell you you're weak.

    Great video Jim! I was on citalopram for 25 years. A low-dose for most of that time I started to have a lot of anxiety symptoms, I've never been depressed. I was on the medication for generalized anxiety disorder and panic. Anyway the doctor decided to my dose. I stayed on that dose for about eight weeks and I just felt worse, so of course the dose was upped again. Again, I felt worse, and I started to not be able to go anywhere because they just seem to be too much stimuli not to mention the fact that I felt drugged. I finally found out through a DNA test that I do not process this medication well. So my body was actually, getting sick from too much medication. Anyway, I have been off the medication now for five weeks. I feel like the medication actually caused me to be way more hypersensitive than I have ever been. My worst symptom has been the dizziness, unsteadiness and feeling like my brain just does not want to think . Much of this is withdrawal I'm sure, however, I know much of it is my original anxiety and probably the anxiety going through the trauma of the medication. I just would like your thoughts on this. Is it possible that this medication could have made me more hypersensitive ? I'm really working on myself with your videos to guide me. I so appreciate what you do.

      @@anxietycentre Thank you for your blessing...this is rough...getting used to not being medicated after sooooo many years. I want to see where my base line REALLY is. @@anxietycentre Thank you. I appreciate your response. I'm definitely working on everything that you talk about. Excepting, and just letting the symptoms be there...trying not to respond. But also giving myself grace... especially on the days where I just want to curl up. Even while on the medication, and getting more and more symptoms, I watched your videos and have worked on this process. I will check everything out in the recovery support area as well. I've been off work for quite some time. I'm a professional and my profession is quiet, stressful. So Ive taken a break. The problem is I don't have back up support and the savings has run dry so as I'm working through this, I am also stressing about the need to make money to survive. I know I am not the only one in this situation... again Jim, I appreciate what you do and how you have recovered and have also helped so many people going through this 🙂

Ive been dealing with both conditions but last few days have been horrific due to Chest Infection. Then last night my body and head have started to Vibrate and stop me sleeping. I had to call an Ambulance and go to hospital and told the obivious its the inflammation thats causing my conditions. Im now looking how to move forward with my life as feel Im now facing the ultimate dilmea of whom to trust to help me in my recovery from ETD, Tinnitus and Hyperstimulation!

    • @anxietycentre
      @anxietycentre  Před měsícem +1

      Hyperstimulation can mimic ETD. Addressing hyperstimulation often eliminates those symptoms. Furthermore, anxiety and stress are common contributors to hyperstimulation. So, addressing your hyperstimulation and anxiety and stress issues often resolves all of those symptoms. That would be something worth considering.

    Dear Jim, i had pppd and than delayed vision issues, and now mainly all information coming in through the eyes, ears and proprioception, are a microsecond delayed coming in via my nervous system and brain. So i feel "off" all day long.
    All is because of anxiety that i feel because of all the symptoms i had and still have. Now, i finally am giving up the fight.
    I try to stay calm and follow all you said above.
    But...i do feel worried in my head. I am far more calm and endure the symptoms as best as i can. But, i cant help feeling them as so oncomfortable. I am trying to not react to it all. But in my mind i still feel i dont want them. So...could this be enough to recover? Or...is thinking and feeling the sensations still as so not nice a reason i am going to stay stuck now?
    I do as relaxed as i can. But i can not think with my mind that it feels totally ok or nice...because..it feels like crap🙈

      Yes! Hyperstimulation can persist for as long as the body is chronically stressed. Hyperstimulation won't subside until stress is sufficiently reduced. It doesn't go away by itself.

Since there is a lot to learn, it's not something I can explain in a couple of paragraphs.
