this is to follow-up the last message..... a few years after the TCN failed the tower started acting up. a full decade-2 decades after the end of the 3rd tiberium war. this would be the game to bring EA out of the gutter and back into the hearts of C&C fans everywhere, because it is true to the story line. because it depicts the start of the full-scale scrin invasion. and if your nostalgic about nod being around, remember, they weren't wiped out in C&C4. put 2 and 2 together then add 1. C&C5.
just imagine what would have happened if this game actually released on time. all these damn halo games we see today wouldn't exist. it would have stopped at HALO3 because this game would have stolen all of the spot-light. a game where, instead of like in ME3, you command a(n) squad via headset, you can command a whole military contingent (armor, infantry, aircraft). this game would have started a series that would have ground Bungie into dust and brought new life to the C&C series.

The tech hasn't changed much in the meantime, file sizes and bandwidths have increased, the knowledge can hardly be forgotten either... Sure Bad Company and Crysis 2 have good sound design but the sense of "clarity" in this footage is amazing. You can make out all of the different sources, everything just falls into place nicely. Check out 3:33, how the mechs become louder and deeper when the player gets close.
This game looks awesome. If however they don't pick it back up, i would really like to see some of the mechanics (i.e. sliding under things, special gun positioning when crouched behind crates, things like that) in some other games like maybethe Battlefield series. Still wouldn't replicate the C&C feeling though.

The _real_ reason that Tiberium was cancelled was to make EA look good. How does it make EA look good? In their end of the year finances. They cancelled the game because it was going to be unfinished by the time of the end of the year report to their investors. Thus they stupidly cancelled it to make themselves look "efficient" to others. This was part of EA's stupid "one year, one game" policy that they were enforcing. If the game couldn't be finished in one year, it was either cancelled or cut down to meet that ridiculous deadline. Anyone else for gathering the fans for a massive kickstarter to take the franchise back?
theres gotta be a copy of this game somewhere someone at EA or offsite has got to have it somewhere this game is amazing fair enough they probably would have had to solve copyright issues but they could have come to an agreed settlement of what goes on and how much each person gets

It's a nice concept that you can command armor, infantry and aircraft, but you gotta look at Dimensionallce's comment. Kind of with him on this one, it needs a lot of work.
@DesuOperator The biggest problem was there wasn't an interesting plot . You didnt feel the need to keep playing the game, no desire to go to the next level/mission. The game just didnt grab the player at all. The gun was way cool, it would transform from assualt to CQB to Support to RPG to sniper. The controls were configured really well and the graphics for the time were good. But none of that matters when you (The player) just doesn't have the motivation to continue playing.
well, i hope Bioware makes up for it on C&C generals 2, the graphics are gonna look immense for a RTS using Frosbite 2 engine which is used for Battlefield 3, and base building Appears to be back into the game. so, high hopes for bioware doing the right thing. who woulda thought... a RPG company using a FPS engine to make a RTS game, Genious!!! ;) lol
I think they ended it with C&C4.. and from what I have seen, what a crappy way to end. I saw a picture of the Venom patrol craft in C&C4.. They turned the epic vehicle from C&C3 into something that looks like a toy that you get from a cereal box. At least in my oppinion..
Man I really would have love to see this game made, I really think it had great potential to be good. I also really wonder what happens when a game is discontinued like this, like what happens to all the game engines and character models and all the rest of the stuff that goes along with it? I'm sure it still exists somewhere, would still want to see this game made would probably make a much better ending to the Tiberium series rather than C&C 4
i can see why they canceled it. if you notice how those walkers moves But then agen they weren't done with the game. i personly would have enjoyed a game focusing from the point of view from a zone trooper/raider, and a god story. I would bee trilled if they made a game focusing on firestorm and then one on the tiberium war and then making them co exist with renegade.

it's like a swiss army knife in rifle form. the fact that it may have had an ice cream dispenser mode makes me hate EA more for cancelling this.
it was fun to use while it lasted. given its versatility a few of us joked that it could indeed be a soft-serve ice cream dispenser.

This almost looks like alot of the animation in crysis 2 came from this. The way he slides, the gun "bobble", even the cover system...
