Yes I’m getting a bit fed up with Porsche launching model after model (GT4RS, GT3RS now Sport Classic) of great cars that are only offered to select clients and never actually go on general sale. The rest of us are then expected to pay those select clients double what they paid to get one on the used market. It’s a ridiculous money go round.

Being turbocharged, it's probably a better grand touring car than a GT3 Touring. It'll be more relaxing to drive at high speeds, makes passing easier, a more relaxed exhaust note, a softer ride, etc. The problem is once you reach a fun bit of road, you want that naturally aspirated response and high revving 4.0L. OH, and it's the Pirelli tires that do indeed help with cabin noise.

On the French peage it is significantly quieter. On most of the Italian roads much quieter. So, it seems to me that there is some issue between UK road construction and surface finish compared to Europe which is, of course, where the tyres are designed and engineered.

#mikebrashears, yup Harry gave away the clues about which 911 to buy. The "992GTS does 80-90% of what the Classic does." So, just to spent 100,000 grand more to gain 10-20% of what the Sports Classic can do, seems absurd.

The houndstooth matches the uniform of a certain Canadian pizza chain I washed dishes at as a teenager. Heritage be damned, I can’t see past it. 😅

This brings back memories. In 1985, At 13, when I would wait for my monthly car magazine, I would analyse the 0-60 figures of the Porsche range. At that tender age, I thought….if you spend x grand, you get 0.1 less, 0-60. Porsche are, the masters of differentiation in marketing. Even down to PDM. Passenger Door Mirror 😂

Thanks Harry for another great video in the real world , I like the look of this sports classic , i do wish it wasnt turbo though but then i guess it would be too close to a gt3 / touring , It will be interesting to see what the Porsche ST model is going to be like when that comes out ,
There just seems to be too many different versions , would be better if they streamlined the range a bit i think

100% agree with you this Porsche is great looking inside and out apart from the wheels . If it was ten times cheaper i still could not afford one , but love your reviews.

Spot on regar ding the comment on the quality of UK roads these days. I saw your farmer friend’s latest drive from Poland to Slovenia last week and was impressed by the wonderful roads throughout Central Europe; I failed to see a pothole. Here we need not only the softer suspension button but, can I also suggest that, all UK spec cars should come with a spare wheel of some description and tyre change kit and not those silly inflator kits. I have spent too much time on the side of the road recently, post altercations with potholes, waiting to be recovered as the mobile tyre guys cannot provide you with tyre brands and sizes fitted to performance cars.

So glad you've gotten back to sports cars and this wasn't about another SUV. I don't watch those.

Lovely lovely car. Depreciation proof 911 with all the right stuff for me (yes those wheels and interior is gorgeous) and less shouty. I would try and imagine it in a better colour though, grey somewhat robs it of grace on the road for me.

The reason for it being less noisy is probably because its fitted with the lightweight and noise insulated glass option? (makes a significant difference in the base model)

    Pepita, not Houndstooth 😅
But it's so gorgeous, I'd spec mine in Irish Green, no stripes, no number rounds, and call it a day.....if I had the money and the allocation 😂
And I absolutely love the Fuchs wheels.
