I almost never played mobile games.But when i did it was a little fun and i just said "gg" about it and many other "addictive" games.
Whenever somebody said that a game is addictive i never belived them.Like candy crush and peggle.The only time a game has been truly addicting is factorio for me because i literly played 17 hours with the only thing that stopped me being eating and sleeping.
But id never pay for microtransactions in it.
I think people who buy microtransactions are childish,people who dont know that money doesnt grow on trees.When your budged is very limited you dont spend money on usselsess shit.
I think people who easily buy microtransactions should just grow up.
You represent a minority of the population. One that I am a member of as well, but you are talking about at least two generation of people, that are easily influenced by the need of instant gratification.
If you make it practically impossible (not impossible maind you), or mind numbing slow enough, then you can get the majority of people to pay to advance.
Same goes for mobile CCGs (or CCGs in general), people that pay for better cards are going to kick the ass of the F2P players. F2P players can technically get those same cards, but the chances are astronomical.

You remember Jay from the video "Literally Cancer" that was uploaded a day or two ago? And you know how part way in, Dan says something along the lines of "It's like another me!"; well maybe they are related: both male, have English accents, coincidentally get along with one another, have dark, curly hair and therefore look like a washed up human foghorn (Ople .rS) with glasses. Then what if Dan and "Jay"... are actually blood brother-esque clones, Metal Gear Solid style?!
Ha ha! There's a thought for all y'all readers out there! And another thing, maybe Dan and "Liquid Dan" have travelled to foreign countries. The real Dan stayed here in England, while "Jay" travelled to Canada like Dan said in that one video with Emma "Frivolous" Blackery and changed his voice.

I play a mobile phone game. It's called Tomb of the Mask. It's free-to-play, but it's genuinely free-to-play. Like you don't have to watch a single ad unless you feel like doing the campaign which is just a lil bonus. The real fun is in the Arcade gamemode which gives almost no benefit to watching ads. It's a proper little game, on a phone. It's how mobile games should be done.
The only thing that I could find that's positive about this video is how beautiful Dan's dog is.

Holy Fucking Shit That Ending Is Brilliant
Most of the development budget for that game went into Economics, Biology and Psychology, just to make it as addicting as possible and suck as much money out of your bank account
It took me maybe ten seconds to come up with a more interesting and, dare I say, _fun_ mechanic than waiting around and hoping to randomly get the right coins: Make them points based on the types of matches either you as a whole or the character has put on.
It could be similar to the RPG you played, where you'd be able to play as the heel, face, you could crowd-please, lay the smack down upon your opponent... I don't quite know _how_ it would be implemented, but having match-type points rather than random things sounds so much better! Especially since it's within player control, but then I guess that wouldn't make as much money, because the only people buying stuff would be the ones who want to blast through the game as quickly as possible?
Heck, we could go even further and, instead of plain upgrading characters, they would change depending on how you played them!
Me: analyzes car audio in final shot

This is precisely why I have a strict rule for games of this system. If I can't beat a level within the full amount of lives given to me, I delete the app and move on to the next one.

If I had the programming knowhow, I would absolutely make a mobile game whose sole purpose is to play ads and you have to try not to accidentally click on the ad after it's over. If you fail... Well, you can watch an ad to keep going!
The fact that Dan tried to play mobile "games" is respectable. He hates mobile games but still tried to use them. Hopefully this video does something about this issue but I know that it won't. It'll take a collection of big CZcams's to fix this problem but no one but Dan has the balls or brain power to stand up for it. For anyone out their who submits defeat to micro transaction filled pieces of shit you call games, I have two suggestions for you, 1. Stop playing these games or 2. Get the micro transactions for free using Lucky Patcher (which works for most apps but not all). If we don't stop this then its going to destroy the games industry.
Let's talk about the Traffic Racer. This is the best offline racing game which you'll ever experience on a mobile phone, it has microtransactions; however, that just skips all the gameplay & the satisfaction. There's like 20+ cars & only 1 car which you must pay for (which is around £10.99) but, the thing is they're not forcing you to buy it because it's 100% an option. You can get the most expensive car for $1,000,000 in-game currency which is about £40+ or play the game for 2 weeks (daily) & you'll get the most expensive car in the game for free.
I have no idea why I started this convo with myself.

The only time I'm okay with downloading apps for shit is the apps that give you free gift cards.
The only in-app purchase I've ever bought was to pay £0.79 for a free minimalist logic puzzler (0h h1) with no microtransactions nor adverts, just a little box asking if you thought the game was worth a dollar, and I think that should be encouraged.

Dungeon Flicker is a good mobile I'd recommend. For starters, no micro transactions! Which means it's completely free. It's also fairly small, which makes sense. It's very much a casual game, look it up on the Google play store.

here dan is talking about 99% of phone games, stuff like hearthstone does have micro transactions but you can ligitmetaly free to play if you want, sure it takes a while to get anywhere but you can have fun without the cash with out there being a cash ceiling where you have to pay to keep playing like in this game

There's still some decent free games. I've got Chess, Kenken, Scrabble and Sudoku on my phone. The chess one is really neat because it's got an "undo" button that let's me experiment with different moves/strategies and learn from my mistakes (I'd probably never get any better otherwise). That being said, I hardly ever play them; they're the mobile games I play when I'm bored of the mobile games that I play when I'm bored because I'm not at home with my laptop and PS3 and don't have internet or a book to read. Also, my phone is old and can't handle anything remotely resembling a new game so that's probably why I hardly ever play them.
Infinity Loop is a good, original puzzle game on mobile. Download it. Enjoy it. You can even play it offline. It's wonderful.

See the problem with "Optional" Microtransactions, is that game devs tend to design the game around making the game harder to make those transactions necessary. Whether they set time gates, make it so the game is nearly impossible without it, make normal loot drops rarer, or all of the above. Lets look at something that could easily have microtransactions but doesnt. Overwatch. See, overwatch, they have loot crates, and you get them by leveling and only by leveling. It's pretty fast to level though so you'll be fine. However if they made the loot crates buyable for $0.99, well, they might just make leveling significantly harder, or they might make the loot crate drop every 10 levels, or maybe they even reduce the likelyhood of legendary drops, encouraging you to buy those loot crates. While microtransactions may seem like you can ignore them, 90% of F2P games are designed in such a way that makes them hard to ignore.
brave frontier is my favorite cellphone game. it can be paid for, but it's perfectly viable free
