    Fun fact: the actress who played Mrs. Ricardo, was late Mexican actress, Mary Emery (Margarita Cavazos).

      @@retroguy9494 I wrote "volunteerly". You study languages for work, to make more money. And another thing: if you want to know language thoroughly, college or university is too late- you study them in your childhood. The earlier is the better.

      @retroguy9494 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@lttrhd I know what you wrote. I may speak four languages, however English IS my native one.
      I beg to differ with you. In my case, I studied them because I'm an intellectual who comes from a very old and at one time prominent American family. In the old families, it was common to learn other languages. There was no monetary expectation or hope of employment n it. It was simply part of education within certain classes.
      Did you know that Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt both spoke three languages? English, French and German. Actually, Elanor also knew some Italian which would have made four.
      The way my own education was set up, I began to learn my second language my freshman year of high school. My third during post graduate studies and my fourth on my own when I was in my 30's. That's the one in which I am least fluent.
