      I recommend you start watching the videos from the PixImperfect channel, by Unmesh Dinda. He teaches photoshop more directed to photo editing, but it's a good start, as the tutorials are very explanatory.

    How many px are the grid lines and how many subdivisions do you have in the Grid preferences?

      The artboard is 3000x3000px and the grids are 100 pixels each I think

      So I made a custom shortcut for Object > Path > Offset Path. I don’t need to click it, I can just press Command + 5!

    how did you clip the ellipses to fit the smaller rectangle?

      I used a clipping mask! If you duplicate the rectangle and put it on top, select the top rectangle and the object you want to clip (in my case the ellipses). Click CMD / Control + 7 or go to Object > Clipping Mask > Make. Hope this helps!

    How did he overlay the baggy over the graphic if the image of the baggy wasn't transparent? Is it transparent? it doesn't look transparent.

      I made a copy of the rectangle and put it above the oval group, and turned it into a clipping mask by pressing Control / CMD + 7
