Canceling grappling animations by attacking was the single best mechanic from the GC games. I freaking hate when playing 3+ players matches in todays games and having to sit around while the other perform their moves....esp since the games are even slower.

The Evolution theme was actually used on TV, it's their very first theme they ever used before Motörhead made "Line in the Sand"

Throwing people off the construction sites and fighting in the malls in Wrestlemania XIX was the MOST fun I have EVER had playing a WWE game loll

That pedigree on top of the cell through the cell was definitely a 10/10 because there was no hanging from the cell by Triple H

The X8 video is one of my favourites on here. I played the hell out of that game when I got it. Turned a blind eye to all the holes and missing pieces it had. I played around with the controls to get the most out of the move sets. With a story mode, titles in exhibition mode and the AKI grapple system, this would’ve been an instant classic 🤘🏻❤️

The WWE games on the GameCube will forever hold a special place in my heart, especially the Day of Reckoning games. I can’t tell you how many hours I spent on both of them as a kid with my brother, and to this day, we still have fun with them. Thank you for the nostalgia, Ian. I only remember ever playing one of these games, cant remember which but you could put on hats... like random hats like a helmet or a chefs hat during a match, so .... yeah that was just bizarre but the game play was good . The hats was the most memorable thing about it tho
