Shannon is one of the best, if not, the best driving instructor i have met. she taught me morden only 2 in hours resulting to get my driving licence from an area i have never been before. her teaching strength is absolutely marvelous.

You don’t need to do a perfect drive to pass your test but knowing the roads is handy so nothing unexpected … as with a learner you’re thinking of 10 things at once I.e gears, mirrors , signs , other cars etc so as long as you can remove those thoughts I.e knowing road speed etc on what road, limits the work/ stress you have to do

I have been teaching my two youngest kids to drive and found this really useful thanks for doing this. A good place for you to do a "Road Trip" is to the "Magic Roundabout" at Hemel Hempstead, it's been a long time since I have driven it but I will always remember the first time I drove it and it would be useful for any driver to have an instructional video on how it should be driven.

It's true. Approx 98% of the questions and driving simulation videos I revised on the app appeared on my real theory test so passed first time. Just use the app.

Good video. Used to be a postie around Surbiton / Tolworth but I'm an instructor now. I would not pass around there if I didnt have knowledge from driving the roads everyday as a postman.
Made me laugh when you said about the relaxed area.. that's maple road, not a place you want to be in rush hour 😂
Also at 8 min 40 there is an exit before the one you took. Would that be marked as a minor as you had a left signal on?

Yes there are! hah!! its a really nice place to drive though! it feels like the roads are well thought out and laid out properly not all random like london, which was clearly designed for horse and cart 😂

Great video! I'm so confused with the following distance at 18:07, i thought it looks like a big gap. I've seen on other channels' mock test videos that people get faults for this. Does the distance need to be bigger when you are on a fast road like that? And is there a way to know if you are following at the correct distance, other than the two second rule?

You don’t have to be a perfect driver to pass your driving test, but you must not get any serious or dangerous faults, exceed 15 faults or keep on making the same fault over and over, cos the examiner can mark it as a serious driving fault.

If only test examiners would be allowed to talk to the person taking the test like you two are, to ask the reasoning behind what they have just done, or are about to do, instead of just judging what happens when they have done it. Surely that would be better for all involved. Someone planning far ahead will have a different answer to someone reacting to what happens 50ft or 100 ft from the junction or roundabout for example.
Sometimes it would be useful to know why a pupil has done something but that could prompt the testee into realising theyve made a mistake and to not do it again. or make them anxious in thinking theyve made a mistake! the best thing to do is commentate your drive for the examiner so they dont have to wonder why you did something ;)

When turning from traffic light controlled junction onto a dual carriageway where o oh you will be entering as oncoming traffic has a red light are you allowed to turn left straight into the right hand lane as you need to turn right at an island 100yards away?
Yes if it's clear in the right! but if the road you're turning from is two lanes you might have another car turning with you on the right of you so id suggest keeping left around the bend and moving across when you're driving in a straight line :)

Hiya i have my test in August at hither green but not 100% sure if my instructor has taught me everything I need to know he hasn't done show me or tell me questions at all just wondering if you could give me a mock test and how much you charge
August is a few weeks away and show me tell me questions take about ten minutes to teach. What else have you not covered? If you're worried ask them!

Do all bus lanes have the same times in operation?
Hey no they don’t. There will be a blue sign before the bus lane telling you when it’s in operation. If there’s no times on it and the sign just says bus lane then it’s always in operation. Hope that helps!
How do you set up your satnav/google maps so that it tells you the driving route around Tolworth? I’ve bene trying for ages but still can’t figure it out.
It only works on the tom tom. We’re basically going in a big circle passing waypoints. Google maps doesn’t let you set routes you can only go from start to destination
@@DrivingSchoolTV Ohhh I see. I have a TomTom Start 25. Can I set up a driving test route around Tolworth on all models of TomTom?
I just checked the manual for the 25. It supports routes! You can design the route on tom tom mydrive (website) and then sync it to your device using the tom tom desktop app. Another way would be to use the record a route feature in the device main menu, drive the route and then save it so you can drive it again. Hope that makes sense!

Yes correct! The time shows when it is a bus lane and you can’t use it. All other times it’s not a bus Lane and you should drive in it!

I failed for turning slow into residential roads I was doing about 5mph so as not to have to brake harsly for hazzards like cars pedestrians as I emerged into the new roads where visibilty is limited.
Ahh yeah that must be annoying when you think you’re being double safe. But sometimes going too slowly can be more dangerous because other people won’t expect you to be going that speed. Have you got another test booked?

Yeah I’m sure you were doing the appropriate speed on straights but appropriate speed also applies to corners. Have you got a good instructor that can advise more?

Francis has this habit of always resting his foot on the clutch while driving. I heard others not recommend that at all. I wonder if he thinks that doesnt mtter at all.

@@DrivingSchoolTV I’m so into all the knowledge about driving, when I’m in anyone’s car I don’t just sit back and chill, I always pay attention to what’s happening around just because if the driver has to pull up suddenly I am more aware. There’s so many people down in Devon that seriously can’t drive and you don’t have to be able to drive to know that, that’s how bad they can be. I saw that car pull out on you and that annoyed me, I swear they do it on purpose cos they know people are in a test or generally in a lesson. How do you keep so calm when you have someone who’s driving in front of you clearly not a learner but if they were having a test they would have failed by their bad driving?

BTW why no mask? Did I miss something? I hate mask with glasses always fogs up when I drive
There is a spray you can use on the glass to stop them steaming up or try tucking the mask under the glasses and make it tight around your nose 😊 hope this helps!
