Can always mix and match suit separates to have hundreds of outfit combinations. Very easy to do once you have lots of colours in your wardrobes. Also known as Spezzato. Very good for the environment.

I used to wear suits a lot but I’ve been wearing sports coats of late. I find they are more versatile than suits and you could always have a different look all the time by mixing and matching the pants. I also find that they are more casual but they work in most occasions. I normally buy vintage sports coats on eBay or thrift store, high quality for a fraction of the price. I find used vintage sports coats are of a better quality than modern garments. You just have to know what to look for.

It's so great to see how far you've come. The clothing line looks extra crispy fresh. Indeed, sports coats are key to a great polished look when you're not exactly feeling like dressing it all the way up with a suit. And they introduce lots of nice patterns without going overboard by having matching pants.
As I have said on that video, indeed, it is simply more expensive and time consuming to construct the jacket, the pants come second, some places they even offer an extra pair for a lower price.
You've always been very diverse in your selection of garments but always stuck to that polished, refined, masculine look and so I think sports coats slide very well into your dressing philosophy. I wish you the best in continuing to improve your brand.

I prefer a sports coat over a suit in most situations. I only wear a suit when it's formal.
In the nineties, guys in the upscale clubs wore sports coats with button shirts and the phantom tie. Now it's called an air tie.

When the concept of "dressing up" comes to mind, critics think it is about weddings, funerals, quinceañera (a girl's coming of age celebration for Spanish-speaking populace), proms, galas, and so on. Other critics think dress up is what people wear to work when their occupation is a lawyer, accounting firm officer, bank employee, or the top executives of a Fortune 500 company. Those are indeed call for formal clothing and a evening wear or a regular two-piece suits is definitely more appropriate than a sports coat. Nevertheless, the frequency of wearing of these special clothes for the events is relatively low for the average American. However I will say this: anytime, people pay money to enter a public venue such as sports events, convention centers, museums, and even movie theaters, it makes sense to elevate the dress code. This is why I support men wearing wearing the sports coat. I have no clue what a woman should wear or the female equivalent of the sports coat. It could be the floral dress or something else. Anyway wearing this particular clothing is about being respect to a venue the people work so hard to organize for your benefit. Although I do like to wear jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, sweat pants, and so forth, these clothing is strictly house wear or exercise wear. The casualization of clothes in America has been continuing for too long and its time to put my oxfords down (if you forgive my pun) once and for all. Hopefully my comment will change all that. I hope you agree with me and feel free to express your thoughts if you like it, miss the point, or maybe missing some details about the topic. I will respond promptly.

I don't know if it's still this way, but in Ireland, Boston, and maybe the UK, being dressed up to go out was that one black button shirt that cost two or three times what you'd spend on a regular everyday shirt as your go-to pub or club shirt.
I was going to the clubs with a girl and
she was up on whatever was in style at the time. So, I took a couple hundred dollars and bought a nice wool blend sports coat and and a dark (cotton) sports coat for about half price at a menswear store. I got used to wearing a sports coat then. It began to feel as natural as the T shirt, jeans, and leather or denim jacket that me and my mates wore everyday in my working class town.
A sports coat is nice to wear occasionally at a casual business office. A suit would kind of look out of place. I think a sports coat would work in all but the roughest pubs-then you might want the leather jacket.
