If you've been taking Zinc and Ascorbic Acid, maybe you need some more copper.
Copper is important for the body to absorb and utilize Iron and part of the Vitamin C complex, Collagen and various enzymes.
Zinc is known to deplete Copper, as well as ascorbic acid as the body will use copper to utilize it.
Deficiencies can favor hernias, early graying hair and besides that the tipical low iron symptoms.
I've had a belly button hernia when I had an h. pylori infection in 2017. Prior I had been taking Zinc daily for years and occasionally ascorbic acid as well. I still take Zinc and it's great but I use Acerola Powder as a whole food Vitamin C supplement now, I find it helps alot better with improving gum health.
If you have low energy you should make sure your thyroid levels are fine. I've had a hashimoto low thyroid issue after h. pylori and the quadruple therapy. Taking (Zinc), Selenium, Iodine, Tyrosine via supplements in normal RDA doses and ashwagandha powder has helped me greatly coping with low thyroid. I'd rather avoid Lugol's solution as that can even trigger hashimoto or other problems with the thyroid due to being too high of an iodine dose.
Keep eating probiotics and fermented foods in order to improve your gut biome, which is known to be greatly reduced in diversity by any type of antibiotics even years after.
And do you get enough B-Vitamins? B1 B3 B12 etc. are known to be important to energy and anything regarding nervous well being. Just don't take B6 unless you are definitely deficient, as B6 is pretty ubiqitous and often added, you don't need much of it and it's known to quickly cause toxicity that can even mimic B1 deficiency. B1 and B3 are rather safe, and very affordable in powder form. B12 is commonly underdosed in B-Complex.
Your daily carbohydrates and protein you probably already take.
    Best Wishes!

"Coffee and food that is beige...". I love your candid honesty. I need to get back to taking phone shots of everything I eat in order to stay honest with myself. Hopefully the pictures won't be beige.
