@@viernes7624 as far as the devs have said, they’re still working on it. The discord server is pretty active and Maxxis and Pik have been more active than ever. There’s not a lot of new gameplay or sprites or anything, but Maxxis seems adamant that they should be up and running in full this year (not the game release, just in having their website and getting back up to snuff with social media updates)

Nintendo ain’t exactly… a “Fan” of fan games. Well… In reality, the mother series in general is a bit tricky. Nintendo owns the games, but Itoi still owns the IP in general. Meaning for all we know, he could be on board with all of this, but no one really knows for sure.
Even if it isn't cancelled they need to be more transparent that they're actually working on something and release more videos or anything to the public rather than keeping it a secret. Its really hurting their brand and their trust to the public waiting for the game to come out for 10 years now.
I almost dont want this to be called mother 4, or have a connection to the mother series...because it looks so good and has so much hard work behind it, id want the creator to be able to sell it, and unfortunately charging money for it would be copyright infringement...still, once this is released it'll be a hell of a jumping off point for what's hopefully a long and happy game design career
