Sounded like a front tire puncture. Vittoria tire liners might have saved ya from washing out. Same thing happened to me two years ago.

Looked like the tire didn't blow off, so I don't think this was a hookless vs hooked rim issue. Sounds like his tire just got slashed somehow.

I was thinking the same thing. Last year some legion guys washed out in races seemingly out of no where when everyone else was railing corners.
Factor in all the damages, is it worth it? Didn't look like you was even in a position to win. Racing isn't worth it to me.
