I am a VW guy and really impressed by Fluffy's vision (enjoy the cars now, museum later,") plus thanks for busting a stereo type I had. None have risers do they👵🏻👍🏻

Imagine if they brought them back, exactly how they were, sales would go through the roof!
Of course, they can't. Because crash safety. And also, sales would most likely not go through the roof, lots of enthusiasts would surely buy them but the majority of average joes just want a comfortable, well equipped and cheap car. An old VW bus would only tick the last one. The new ID Buzz is probably as close to the old one they can make it and still fit the modern day demands for safety, comfort and equipment. Don't talk about the pricing though. 😞
@@Nukezone100 modernize the bus and i think it could tick all the boxes minus the cheap part. The design is nice and if it can be good on gas which i doubt it would. It would be awesome to drive.

@@Fluffypotato1990 modernizing the bus with safety regulations means it won't look the same anymore, the regulations prevent the proportions of the old cars to be fully present in the cars of today, at least it is what I think when watching newer "retrostyled" cars, some are nice but can't compete with the original at all.

Love Fluffy and love VW buses.Stepdad had '69 pop-top camper we went to yellowstone in,and in my 20s I had a '76 regular bus.Also had a '70 Beetle for 6 years.Nothing looks like or sounds like or drives like these classic Veedubs.They were a huge part of the 60's counterculture (I really dig that man!).Many fond memories!

I love VW Kombi.. I takes me back in the days.... great memories during my college days.
My dad bought a new one in 1965 to replace our 1959 bug. What a huge difference in room. We could use it with mom,dad and three kids. He eventually gave it to my brother in about 1972 and my brother put a Corvair engine in it. Had to change the ring-gear because the Corvair engine turned in a different direction. I learned to drive in that bus and took my drivers test in it in November 0f 1968. As with every other thing he ever had, my brother ran the thing into the ground. I am not sure if he junked it or sold it for pennies. I wish I had it now. Those things have become valuable. At one time you could get a used one for hundreds of dollars. This collection is the best I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing.

What I give to spend the day with this smart Guy. He sure got into the right cars and Busses and every one of his are beautiful. Watching this brought back a lot of good memories for me some bad but most great ones. what I give to have just one more of these before I die. I had 5 V W's and three Pop Top Campers I wish I still had all of them now. Every time I see one it takes me back to a simple time in my life. Best collection I never seen

My dad had bought a brand new, canary yellow vw in the 70s. He sold it on some 20 years later after an accident. I would give anything to have it back, spent the best years of our lives in that van, camping, fishing, travelling, etc. My heart breaks everytime I see videos on these beautiful machines.
Buy a new one and start a adventure with your kids
That's why I can't look at antiques or collectibles or anything that relates to some of my collections that have long disappeared I've lost about five buildings full of collectibles and artifacts and antiques and I can't even look at the roadshow anymore it just breaks my heart

@@totalcontrol4205 wow that's a good question and I'm sure there's probably a bunch of reasons why I lost all this stuff the first time I lost a mother load was at a storage place and they knew I had a lot of good stuff there and when I was just a little bit late with my rent as I always was I came in to pay the rent and the guy told me oh we had an auction yesterday all your stuff was sold so that was one building and let me tell you if I gave you a list of stuff that was in that building you'd be sad too probably and the next four car garage that I had filled with goodies was due to that the person that owned the garage was selling the building and I just had no place to move the stuff and I tried to get some help from some people who could sell stuff online but time was ticking and everything was taken yeah that's my story I wish I didn't have to stick to it but thanks for asking anyway

These VW vans are awesome. Reminds me of my Dad’s 1965 van we used for his TV repair business. Fluffy is so genuine, and what a gracious man for turning this into a museum after he passes. Good on you Fluffy.

Respect, buddy! I had a workhorse of a 79 bus for 4 years. Will forever regret the trade that sent it to my brother. I also drove a 73 bug for the 8 months before I entered the USCG. What a great way to blow cash!!
My buddy in high school had a band new 1971 VW Micro-bus,....two tone. White roof and a yellow body. That is when I learned to drive them. Later that year my brother-in-law, got the same model. It wasn't fun to drive, as the engine had low power, and it was hard to shift into gear. In the 1980s I became friends with a guy who owned a 1971 Transporter VW van. ( It had a open flat cargo area, behind the cabin) By that period of time it was a rust bucket. Holes in floorboards, meant you had to watch where your feet were, as they could fall out of the holes. A local devotee to the VW busses,....bought it for a few hundred dollars and completely restored it to "near mint' condition. It won awards.
It's strange bc most of the time during his shows he just seems like a normal and relatable guy, but then you see videos like this and you remember "Oh right I forgot celebrities are god status"

While I realize that 3$ Million is a lot of money, it seems like this collection should be worth a lot more. I was really shocked to hear this number, and until they actually showed the numbers on the screen, I really thought that I was hearing it wrong, and that they were really saying 30$ Million. This is a Really amazing collection! All of the vehicles are so shiny and the paint jobs look so fresh and clean and new! Thank you for sharing your Fluffy collection with us, it's really cool!
