    Here are the torque specs from the service manual:
    Bushing clamp (2) - 22.1 ft-lb
    Endlink (2) - 28 ft-lb
    Lateral link 17mm - 59 ft-lb
    If you don't torque correctly, it will CREAK !!

    From the Whiteline install PDF
    Caution: Always start with softer setting rather than harder.
    - Always use new hardware if supplied.
    - Tighten all fittings with the vehicle at ride height

    Pull the end links off with the sway bar if you're going to be replacing them. They can be a pain to remove if you have some milage on the car. Also, this should be done with the rear suspension loaded at your planned ride height. Back on to some ramps... It works really well, just make sure the ground is even.

    Sorry if this was covered, I didn't see it in my scanning. But aren't you supposed to put the weight of the car on the suspension to settle the bushings before you tighten and torque them?

    Why does no one talk about the booklet instructions from whiteline showing that spacers must be added together in order to shift the centerline at the LCA side of the end links? In theory not doing so would apply a partial lateral load on the LCA instead of just perpendicular. Am I the only one overthinking it? It would be really hard to shift the end link center bolt sleeve, pretty much requiring a bushing press every time you want to shift between Low,Med,High levels. Has anyone had issues because of this in the long run? 🤔

    • @james94582
      @james94582 Před 4 lety +2

      I'd say put it upon jack stands while you're doing the swapping, the set it down onto ramps when you go to tighten everything up.. That is what it seems like would be the best way to do it as I've been researching this install lately for both the rear and the front say bars... Plan on doing either lowering springs or coilovers at the same time...
