I climbed Khardungla in May, 2016. There was black ice on the road.. We did not had snow chain with us. But there is the way to drive in such case. We reduced the tyre pressure and it helped up climb the snow in Khardungla and Chang La.

I was there in October end and that too on bike (Royal Enfield scram 411) for 12 days. They didn’t allowed the bike for 5kms. We toed our bikes on a truck for 5kms. Bike was skidding a lot continuous snow fall. All winter equipments were failed. But it was a amazing experience. Never experienced such a thing earlier. October-November is the best month to visit leh-ladakh 🥶

Nice blog, buddy.. Reminds me of my ladakh trip. Ee drove pretty late once from Leh and by the time we reached Bharatpur before Baralacha Pass, it was 9:30pm. It was completely dark with no vehicles on the road. Luckily some dhabas were there and we stayed there by paying Rs 200 per person.
