- During the college football game between Incarnate Word and Houston Christian, Incarnate Word put up 70 points in the first half and led 70-6. This included a stunning 49 point quarter in which HCU completely fell apart. Incarnate Word took their foot off the pedal in the second half and won the game 73-20.

I definitely did not think I’d be posting multiple Incarnate Word highlights this season but here we are lol. Also if you don’t recognize Houston Christian, they used to be known as Houston Baptist but changed their name earlier this season. Both HCU and Incarnate Word are in the Southland Conference of the FCS.
So the Houston Baptist changed churches or something and is now Houston Christian? Lol
Img scored 96
why did they chnage name? religious sponsor?
@@Speedster___ Nope, apparently according to the University President said it's to make the school look more appealing as they look to double their enrollment. They felt that "Baptist" was to direct of a Christian denomination(I think that's the word, basically I mean group whatever the term for that is when it pertains to religion) since staff, students, alum, ect come from a wide variety of Christian denominations.
Especially without Cam Ward this year
Thanks for showing the finally score. And thank the Incarnate coaching staff for taking their collective foot off the gas.
Seriously. Up 50 pts and still throwing deep passes.
@@mrjimi1 very sportsman like of them.
@@dennis12345 Very Christian of them
ayo, they only scored a field goal for the entire second half...they were on pace to put up 90 points
@@jamedlock83 loser
Nebraska scored 63 points in the first half vs Arizona State in 1995 and then lost 19-0 to them the next season with Scott Frost as quarterback ending Nebraska's 26 game winning streak (also the last time Nebraska got shut out) but this is the only other time I've seen a team score 63 or more points in 1 half
I'm still shocked we were able to maintain our sellout streak through the Frost era.
@@Manstrual you guys have a new streak going 💪🏿💪🏿
Nice comeback victory for Incarnate Word
Comeback victory after starting off 0-3 after the first drive 😭
3-0 comback💀
😂😂
My high school put up 70 in one half once. They cut the 3rd and 4th quarters to 5 minutes each with a running clock. We still scored 21 more points and won 91-6. Still holds the record in North Carolina for most extra points in a single game at 13.
What school u got to in NC??
I'm still waiting for someone break 100 points. It hasn't been done in so long
They always pull backups after it becomes a major blowout. This would’ve been 120+ if starters played
IGM Academy high school was close to putting up 100 points this week. AT half time they led 96 to 0 against a Toronto high school, but the refs called the mercy rule.
It probably won't happen unless an especially egotistical head coach goes for it like Deion Sanders. Theres no real incentive anymore. At the high school and lower level, nobody is learning anything blowing people out. College and up, the risk to your starters isn't worth it. Multiple Heisman candidacies have ended when starters were playing in blowouts.
Stephen F. Austin almost did earlier this year and could have if they really wanted to. They hit 98-0 with quite a bit of time left in the 4th and then just stopped playing offense lmao.
@@EricBurns1 yea they kneed the 2
Houston Christian wins with bailey zappe tho
Ain't no one single player making up a difference of 64 points in a single half
@@shanebowers2800 Bailey Zappe transfered from Houston Christian to Western Kentucky where he led the NCAA in passing touchdowns and passing yards.
Cool but not 64 points worthy
@@shanebowers2800 I mean less turnovers and time for incarnate while actually scoring. Maybe not a win but maybe like a 10 point game
@@andrearosendaul woah I didn’t know that! Zappe is a badddd dude lol gave UTSA hell
This first half is the first time I've ever seen a team dominated to the level Cumberland College was by Georgia Tech in the infamous 222-0 game.
I know it's high school, but IMG Academy scored 96 in the first half.
@@jamedlock83 Lol same
It wasn't a real game in my book. They played students, not football players
Fun fact: Half of HCU's football stadium is a CVS.
HC scored the first points of the game, so technically IUW can call this a come-from-behind victory.
Man, San Antonio has two solid college football teams!
Houston Christian outscored Word 14-3 in the 2nd half. It's not how you start, but how you finish
Still lost tho
73-17 tho lol
Just when you thought SMU-Houston was crazy
0:50 Greg Jennings is runnin' with a broken leg. How is he runnin’ with a broken leg? Dawg, he put the team on his back.
Thank you for making me feel old 😂
GJ Kinne is gonna be a hot candidate this coaching cycle put that in the bank
The Bengals scored 35 in the first half today 😂
Yep. UIW is classy like that. Had a big lead one year at McNeese State and ran a passing play for a TD at the end of the game.
It's kinda crazy, I thought Houston Christian (Houston Baptist at the time) looked pretty decent in their games during the covid season when they had Zach Kittley as their offensive coordinator, then coming to find out that since he left they've gone 2-18
Taking Zappe and the top 2 WRs with him really put HCU behind. It’s a super tiny school also. Makes Rice University look like aTm or UT.
@@tonycrabtree3416 That's a fair point. I really should have said "when they had Zach Kittley as their offensive coordinator and Bailey Zappe as their QB". Massive difference makers, both of them.
@@lmbk1 Their basketball gym is smaller than my high school’s is and it was built in the 60s.
IMG Academy said hold my beer! LMAO
Games like these and the IMG game the other day are just sad, like these teams don’t have a chance!
C'mon I want a new record. We have to beat 222-0.
How the fuck you ran up 222 points tho.... Is the other team even trying?
Cumberland’s team was basically made up of law students while Georgia Tech’s was a professional team coached by John Heismen plus it was a revenge game for Georgia tech since Cumberland had used minor league players to beat GT’s baseball team 22-0
Houston Christian got some really good defense 😂
This would be impressive if not for that 96-0 Half time score from IMG lol
Now that’s how you win a football game. Both their second and third string probably got to play for an entire quarter after that.
what about the SMU-Houston game that was over 60 points combined after just the first half?
Let’s go UIW they in my hometown
IMG Academy: hold my beer
UIW only loss this season came against my hometown team Southeastern Louisiana University,(LION UP,GO LIONS).
70 pts in just 20+ minutes. A pt every 2-3 seconds
IMG academy: so what?
Lol they scored more in one half than Miami scored in their last 4 games. You can even add in the a&m game and they'd still be under
I love seeing some good, old-fashioned, Christian-on-Christian violence!
UIW really let off the gas in the 2nd half
That old photographer sitting on his butt right behind the endzone seems like he's in prime position to get obliterated.
Lindsay Scott is underrated on a national scale.
Yep wish he had stayed at LSU. Much better than Max Johnson or TJ Finley.
He has tendencies to throw int's at random
Serves them right for changing their name.
What's crazy is UIW doesn't even control their own destiny to win the Southland conference.
Wonder what the first practice back was like 🤣
what gripping commentary
They on X Games mode
1:52 that's a dirty late hit after he's well inside the end zone
70 in the first half and 3 in the second
Houston-Christian blew a 3-0 lead
monotone commentator 💀
wondering what this final score will be
It ended up being 73-20
@@pschighlights they didn’t go for 100??
Good half time adjustments to keep them to 3 in the second half
@@drewp.weiner2473 dude they had people in the stands playing the second half lol
@@drewp.weiner2473 I hear they put the snack thrower in as QB in the 2nd half.
How did they only score three more points?? Did they play their ninth stringers or something 😭😭😭
Lindsey Scott Jr is the real deal
Me when I play against FCS West in my dynasty
Wow #88... just stand there and watch the ball come down.
IMG Academy scored 98 points in one half , they called game 98-0
UIW beat the breaks out of us (TAMU-Commerce) and we both beat Houston Christian like they stole something from us.
lol.. deep ball.. touchdown... deep ball.. touchdown.. deep ball, deep ball, deep ball 🤣💀
Is this a record?
My school is a part of the Southland conference. UIW is amazing and HBU sucks so this isn't a shocker to me lol
And just think, Houston Baptist almost upset Texas Tech a couple years ago
IMG Academy scored 96 in the first half
This is when I play RetroBowl on easy
Look at what IMG Academy started
did HBU's secondary not catch a clue ...
*IMG Academy is not impressed*
img scored 96 in one half
Wtf did they do for the second half?
Bro playing retro bowl on easy mode
On the other hand, they did lose the 2nd half.
Incarnate Word, in San Antonio, is a relatively new program.....but they established themselves quite fast and are a good Div II school.
I've never heard of Houston Christian.
Incarnate Word is actually a Div I.
*Div I FCS, not Div II
@@royaviles5004
Yeah, they began as Div II and moved up. I didn't realize they were Div I so quickly
This highschool?
can miami trade for this qb?
Not better that IMG Academy scoring 96 in the first half by a Canadian football team
IMG
They only scored 3 in the second half? What did they do, put in the cheerleaders? 🤣🤣
the 49 in a single quarter is more impressive
First IMG Academy making up teams, now they’re just flat out posing as collegiate teams? Insane.
University of incarnate word in San Antonio, Texas. Just came up to FCS level they were d3.
@@hectormoto5044 yes. Meant more so they were posing as Incarnate Word for this game, but I can see that it may have came across as saying Incarnate Word doesn’t exist. Apologies.
They did not score 70 in the second hlaf.
Imagine taking downfield shots up 63-6 then being proud you took your foot off the gas after that
Trying to break records with Scott
Houston Christian was beating them at one point…
1:50 - textbook execution? really? looked like OPI
What happens when both teams pray to god before the game?
The game gets rained out
Houston Christian is consistently one of the worst FCS teams every single season and they still don’t get rid of their head coach. Their head coach Vic Shealy is 21-77 in his 10th season at Houston Christian and they still don’t fire him. I just don’t understand why.
There isn't much of a coaching carousel in the FCS compared to the FBS. Nobody gets paid enough to be fired for poor performance, especially in programs like HCU that don't have ambition for national prominence
They obviously don’t care about football there
It is simple, they would have to pay a better coach more more money then the HCU budget can afford.
You see the same thing in high school at inner city and small rural schools. Teams suck year after year but they cannot effectively recruit a head coach and no body wants to assume the roll within the school district.
@@TnD_BigJax nah. They just don't want to fire him
Is Incarnate Word the Lions? So they threw the Christians to the Lions?
Games like this suck. The ICW only scored 3 points in 2nd half. HCU scored 20 points.
Still lost tho 🚶♂️
Because ICW wasn’t trying to be disrespectful, plus it’s late in a season so why would they want to risk hurting any players when they don’t have to
What’s ICW lol
Wow that was College ball, I thought it was H.S. are they D3 schools or what?
D1. This school beat Nevada
Bruh?
They scored 70 points in one half and there was another team that still scored more than them last weekend (SMU)
Houston Baptist sounded better
Only 70? Ha. Georgia Tech did it better.
lol up by 40+ points and throwing deep bombs.
