Great tip! Windshield wipers have been the bane of my existence in the past few years. I recently replaced my old wiper blades and want to keep them working well for as long as possible. Note: I caution anyone from using rubbing alcohol for this purpose. It will dry out the rubber causing the blades to be stiff and cracked.
Yes a man told me to use alcohol on them I said how will that not try them out. He said they just don’t lol.
So doing this! I don't think we have spray, but definitely can with oil. Thank you!
Be nice to WD40...smells great. Also, have sprayed Pam on wood screws to make them easier to screw into boards/studs. Much easier, faster. Thx for all your tips.
I personally don't like the smell. Lol.
The best procedure I have found is to use WD-40, or better yet, Goo Gone to clean the blades, followed by a light coating of real, full petroleum based silicone.
You ask “Why buy Silicone spray when you already have PAM?”
I’ll answer that.
First, because I don’t want vegetable based oil on rubber. It won’t last that long and may degrade the rubber, and might even attract rodents. Second, because the type of silicon is not really correct, and the amount is minimal in PAM. Third, a can of proper silicone spray is cheap and will soften and protect the rubber for longer. It also makes a great cologne (does best at places like Barrett Jackson or UAW mixer events).

I use it on my hinges in my house my doors I spray with and my car doors so they don't squeak best stuff ever no bad smell
Do you have to use the Olive oil pam or will any of them work

Can you use non stick or baking spray also?
I used Armor all it is made to protect rubber but Pam and WD40 also work short term
I have question which type should I look at Armor All spray for (safe for wiper clean and last use)???

Holy crap I'm never using that stuff again! The thought of eating silicone is just a big nope.
If you completely cover yourself in Pam, you no longer need your car. You can simply slide to wherever you need to go!
