Suzanne clearly doesn’t qualify as an interior designer. There’s nothing homely about this furniture shop she calls home.
@Sherry Juneja going by what she’s done with this house of hers, I’d say she’s just a wannabe, definitely not a tastemaker.
The tragedy of converting such a large space in a city like Mumbai (where you have to be seriously loaded to afford a place like hers) into this eyesore is a true talent. Most rooms need one focal piece, and other additions need to compliment it. Her living room has 572 pieces all screaming for attention. Individually, I don’t hate some pieces. For example, that really minimal industrial-style rack in the dining room is nice but there’s a pseudo-classical wall of fake arches behind it and completely makes the whole room look like it has an identity crisis. Also, why use leather on a dining table at all? Just the marble would have been sufficient but she has a major problem with self-editing and had to cram it all up. Plus, who keeps a chest filled with personal diaries in the middle of a living space? Unless she wants all her visitors to pick up a diary and read them while she tells them all about her skiing adventures. The house needs an exorcism to get rid of some really confused vibes. How can anyone appreciate any work of art when every square inch of the flat is fighting to grab your eyeballs…. Anyway, I don’t mean to hate, but she’s a self-professed interior designer. I may not have her budget but at least I can breathe peacefully in my house. Her place probably has oxygen imported from the Vatican for more self-indulgent pretentious bakwaas.

That’s a scary thought , really !
There's nothing funny , she has poured her thoughts and likings into each of the aspects and done it as per her taste which others may not get it until they are lover of art or the styles. The fact that she calls it nest shows that she is completely in love, proud, joyous and carefully styled to be cozy.Offcourse shes maximalist which is not wrong. In my opinion its a beautiful nest with lot of character in it.

I just didn't find this house very well styled for a person who doesn't resonate with her thoughts. But she's a brilliant interior designer otherwise
She is having collection of Art more than designing....which I feel is a part of interior design ....she is focused with her unique Art ...
This house lacks one vital thing- breathing space.
This interior has too much going on from:-
1. Ski resort look ( misfit for a tropical climate)
2. Gothic architecture
3. A lot of inspiration from Micheal Arams store
4. Green space outside is the focal point right now of the interior , what if that green space ends Up with a building on it?
5. Kitchen lay out seems ok .
6. It look like a very poorly done hash up of many styles going on.
7. Hollywood glam style is playing hide and seek wishes the viewer’s eye.
8. Lack of any heirlooms, this interior will be out of style before the season ends.
9. Her stories are not really rooted.
My professional advise is to not to fall prey for such directionless approach.
This house looks like a high end store.
Only thing that adds some warmth to it is family pictures.
Only style I do not see here is the Indian style.

Such a cluttered house. wonder how can one move around without bumping on something or breaking something. her house doesn't give a homely vibe but just a furniture decorative showroom feeling. and everything closed with glass . and what forest look?? my small house has more plants than this. i am in love with my house even more now.it protects me and comforts me . it has plenty of fresh air and breeze.thank you God for providing me with a cozy home .

Only 2 things I liked in her Nest:
1. Kitchen- a relief after seeing the art gallery in living area. She herself said it's not that fussy 😂
2. The fact that dining table is converted into office- a lesson of minimalism can be taken

Yup…got confused as well. Why opt for a ski lodge theme in the tropics with a wall window overlooking the lovely greenery is also a mystery. Its like me living on a beachfront home and wanted an igloo inspired architecture!

After reading comments I forgot I was watching a serious channel. Hilarious!
The camera work was not AT ALL at the level of other AD videos!! The cameraman was constantly moving the camera, zooming in and out of things constantly making it difficult to focus on the actual architecture! The house is nice but because of the way it had been captured reduces the quality of the video completely!!Definitely disappointed by the way AD had captured it!

It's a schizophrenic, rectangular hell....the design aesthetic, if there is any, is just all over the place...so much visual distraction, your eye goes mental trying to concentrate on the objects. Maximalism done right can actually be very cool, but this just looks like one hot mess!

Only the view outside the house looked good, this is a terrible decor. She should learn the minimalist or the actual decor of how homes ought to be which is comfort & warmth.

Very interesting. I have to agree with others it does feel like a high end furniture store. Im in the UK and there are showrooms like this...take the photo frames away and thats what you get. There is space vast space but there is no wall or corner untouched free of things. There isn't a baseline theme or one set feel throughout the apartment. Its not a home. Doesn't have balance. Feels crowded. But its her home she expresses how she is loves it lives in it. Cudos to her. I respect that. Im sure she as an interior designer of many years does not design others home like this. I've not seen her portfolio. She has many good ideas we could all take from but everything nope. Your home you design it how you wish its your vision your space. Some will love it, some will hate it, some won't understand it and some will feel intimated. Its all beautiful. It may not all be for me or you but for her its right. I respect that.

She does not have fake accent. If you watch her interviews 10-15 years back, you’ll see she had this same accent all along.
Don’t understand why people from India kept on commenting that she has a fake accent. As a person who is from another Asian country and also having many colleagues from India, I think her accent is similar to some of the people from India in the office. If I don’t see her face and just listen to her voice, I can tell she is an Indian speaking English.

😹😹 I thought exactly that - all diaries looked untouched!! When you fill diaries journaling, they look used and get fat with all the air trapped with page turning. Only purchased diaries, never used any. 😂
