Doesn't matter if you guys find anything or not. Just seeing the awesome father daughter relationship you two share is great in itself. Can't wait to see what 2023 brings to the Mudpies!
â€ïž
Love the chisel and the fact that you found belters back when you were 10. Foreshadowing of the great finds to come.
Thanks, its funny I (Andy) have always been good at finding things, not really sure why. I do feel luck to be able to share this wonderful hobby with my daughter đ x
That chisel is a stunner! And who wouldn't like that little green (teal) poison bottle! Beautiful...
Always enjoy your digs or squelching in the mud! My favorite is the mini poison! Beautiful color! Have a great week or two! Hugsâ€
What a special relationship that you & your dad have,to share your passion for bottles,I wish my father was still around so we could play guitars & sing together! You are both very blessed!

Thank you Deb for your continued support đ
That chisel is AMAZING. Beautiful patina as well!
It really is remarkable!
Good morning from NZ. You will be forever legends to us. We adore your happy disposition. So dedicated in the cold weather. We look for your video's everyday. Josie, you and your dad rock. Thank you for highlighting our day.đđâ€â€đđđ
Thank you, that such a kind comment! Lots of adventures planned with plenty of banter and hopefully a few good finds along the way! Take care as always â€ïžx
That chisel is a find of a lifetime. 5hat old English magic.l! It is in good hands. I am sure you and your family will keep this safe and loved for ages and ages.
Thanks Therese, it will be passed on down the line đ
If you watch Sarah on Manchester Mudlarks she repairs ink bottles with resin. She puts something in the neck of it and then pours resin to rebuild the neck and since itâs shear topped the jagged edges looks right on it. Just try to mix the colors as close as you can to the original color of the bottle. So glad your back from the holidays I hope you had the best of Christmasâs and New Years. Loved the video and finds.
That's a great tip Kristi, thanks we'll have a look at Sarah doing this on her channel đđx
Canadian snow bunny here. đ„¶ I would love to find any of those displayed items. đ Favourite has to be the white porcelain letter holder, followed by the mint jar. đ I will now slip on over to your new channel, Josie, to see the hijinks and mayhem. đ€Łđ€Ł See you both here next time. đđ„°đ€đđ
Love the little poison and the little doll, very cool! That chisel is amazing! I have to tell you, Andy, I love the scrapper/ spatula you made! I use it often! It was great seeing you both! I think I like seeing you squelching best with a few digs thrown in for good measure!
Thanks so much Terri ! Sadly I don't have so much time at the moment for wood working, I do love it and find it a relaxing and absorbing hobby. Thanks for your support and feedback đx
Seeing you dig under that vegetation must be nerve wracking. We'd love a recap of your most interesting finds that were sent for analysis. Jaffa is so fancy looking sitting like that lol.
Good luck with the new channel Josie!
Good idea Nicole, we'll look at fitting that in sometime soon. Jaffa sure does know she's adorable! đ»
That little green poison... definitely my favourite đ
Great dig love the tiny bottles the chisel is amazing find
There is something so cute about tiny bottles đ
Welcome back Mudders. All the best for 2023, cheers, John.
Amazing wee green poison. That Bronze Age chisel is unreal! Just needs a handle and it could go back to use!
Thanks guys! I know it's one of the reasons we love this bronze age treasure, you can see every chisel in it! Stay warm in those lochs đâ€ïž
Josie's fave is what they call an Emerald Green color, Stunning. That said, why not a Gem hunting trip ? Any fossil sites or public allowed digging areas for crystals or ? .Ty for taking us along
LOVED this video! The letter holder was cool.
Love that creepy baby, and those teeny tiny botts! Especially that tiny poison. That chisel! I cannot even imagine living somewhere that I might just stumble upon such amazing artifacts.
Hello Tara! It never ceases to amaze us how much stuff humans leave behind over the years. It probably also helps (in the discovery) that we live on a small island! Take care đ»
@Mudpies a small island with such a rich history. Someday! Someday I will do a whirlwind museum/Jane Austen/mudlarking tour of the UK.
Not to mention give or take a half dozen or more fine individuals, total legends, stars, mud badgers, absolute belt lords and ladies đ„°đ
Love the Bronze Age chisel, I found back in September 2000 a haord of Bronze Age axes 78 in total. A day that will be with me for all time đ
I love the chisel. The letter holder is beautiful. I do love the stoneware as always. đ The doll is my favorite this time around. It was some childâs favorite. So good to see you.
Hello Barbara, I can't believe how such delicate things like dolls survive in the dump sites! Thanks for your support đ x
The letter holder us interesting. I'm surprised it wasn't flattened by the dirt! Great fun as usual! Thank you! â€đșđž

Hello there, Dad made a frame for the chisel to sit and proudly display it. Pretty sure we'll never find anything quite as epic ....but you never know and the adventures are the priceless memories â€ïž
The outing with you both was the best! And, no cave in as you hit the seam! I like the poison bottle, the taco holder :-) and the whole adventure! :-)
Nice belters! I love the poison, but the two Glasgow bots are champion. I'm also glad you're staying healthy, fit, and digging great finds.
Well limbless little doll is my fav, I just love those teeny tiny babes. đ»
Congratulations Papa Mud Pie, your chisel is fantastic, just blows my mind that you are able to find such historic items đđ„łđ great find Josie, I liked the bluish bottle.

Oh I have missed you two. Lol I am newer to your channel. Been watching foe a few months and watched all of your videos. You two are first mudlarks I ever watched so I'm a bit partial to your channel. I was super happy to see a new video. Glad all are well. From Oregon, USA â€ïž
The taco holder has a beautiful shell-shaped impressed form.
Great to see you both back. Amazing video and beautiful finds. Love the tiny bottle and the doll and all other.đđ
The arms with the whole like a button is used in this body of doll and you use the lactic cord to tie them together and after you tie a knot in the second arm they will retract together and be movable. Then the legs you use milliput to rebuild them.
Oh my, when Josie said âtacoâ, that was my favorite part. đź đ
That little poison was my favorite bit of glass. I really like that sort of teal color.
I really hope you can do more stream walking again. Not sure of your water temps over there, soâŠ. Anyway, enjoyed this video lots.
I hope yâall have a Wonderful New Year! Be Well!
Tacos are the BEST đź love em.
We actually went on a stream lark today so expect a video really soon!! đ happy new year legend
I was disappointed that we didn't get background on the 'taco holder'.
@@clockworkconservative2190 - We did learn a few things though; it probably sat on someoneâs desk or table, it probably held mail and it would not hold a taco with decent amount of filling.
Lovely video! The tiny green poison is fab and I love the stoneware of course. The chisel is amazing, it seems larking has always been in your blood! đđ x
This was great! Thank you all for sharing! The chisel is fabulous! Love the tiny bottles, especially the green one!

I loved the small poison bottle. I go to a lot of antique malls here in Pennsylvania looking for one. The poison bottles are scarce and very high priced. I will keep on hunting for one. Hopefully I will find one this year. Love you all......â€ïž
Good luck Carol đ€

Oi oi! Good to see you both out and about again. Lots of lovely little finds especially the wee green ink
An excellent video once again guys. Dump-It ! Believe it or not my favorite find in this episode were the jar with the smaller bottle inside it. Just because they were placed together like that by someone over 100 years ago - a decision that has carried down to the present day. I hope you'll keep them together. Cheers.
Hello Peter, I know exactly what you mean about the bottle inside a bottle. Thanks for your kind feedback đ
Every time I see a nice bottle missing its bottom, I think how nice it would be with a scene inside. đ
Mmm like a little terrarium!
I am struck by the color of a couple of those bottles, especially the tiny dark teal poison and that icy blue sauce bottle, so pretty! Lol for some of the goblin sounds coming out of Josie in the hole!đ
Hello Nicole, I love the colours from dump finds too as they are so much brighter than the ones we find in the muddy foreshore. Goblin! đđđ
Hello squelch squad leaders! Good idea for a episode is to invite me to come along đ. Just need time to arrange getting there. Lol! a girl can dream.
Good evening, my favorite is the green poison bottle. Nice videođ
It's a thing of beauty đ
A blessed new year to you all. May it be filled with tons of blessings.
Well worth the wait but it was difficult. Miss yâall when thereâs no video.
Lovely to see you & dad back Josie. What a lovely array of finds you had. All the best for 2023.
Thanks Judy x
That was great I love the tiny poison and the little tiny marking ink bottle. Only one stonware but a great one. Thanks for sharing your find when you were 10 years old of the chisel. I found a george the third penny in my friends garden and never told her. I was about the same age of 10 years. Great finds and keep on squelching.
Loved seeing you two out adventuring in the wilderness. My favorite was the teapot not shown and the strange perfume bottle with unknown writing, you thought it was in written another language? Interesting starting your mudlarking adventures out at such a young age finding a 3000 year old chisel!
Love the Camp Coffees
