- Learn pad layering on the MPC Live 2 or on any current MPC's (mpc one, mpc x). I'm showing you how to layer sounds easily, you'll learn two different techniques on how to layer pads on the MPC. Follow along as I layer a kick sound with an 808, and how you should go about it to get it sounding clean. Get that thump!

YUP! more of that please! Thx.
Thanks for watching!
Good job 🙌
Thanks!
Awesome tips dude 👍
Glad you think so!
I Like Your Approach To This Topic, But If This Would've Been My First Take On This Training, I Would've Got Lost at The Point Where You Skipped Over The Load Into Sample Pool Portion Of It, But I Appreciate The Concept Of Splitting The Frequencies On The Layers In That Way... Its Kindah Like What I Do With My Subs After I Copy It To 2 Separate Tracks, So Kudos To That And Then Some.
Thanks for the feedback! 🙌
Cool tips thanks. Do you have a video on mute target? I can’t find any videos demonstrating it.
Thanks for watching. I haven’t made one yet, been thinking about it since I just made a beat using mute groups.
@@ambrushadam thanks, that will be cool to see how mute targets work.
yo adam where are you from man? your accent sounds fimiliar... netherlands or denmark? if I may ask :)
I’m norwegian but been living in Denmark for 10+ years ✌️
Question. Can’t you link samples? 🤔
Never mind.. same shiiii, different names 😉😂
3:09 you left out a few of my crucial steps when pitching kicks.
What did I leave out?
@@ambrushadam when pitching your kicks. Don’t forget to tune them relative to the frequency/key of the song.
@@nevariden if it had like a clear tone to it or if I’m going to use huge 808 kicks doubling as a bassline, then sure, I would tune my kick to the music.
@@ambrushadam if your tuning or de-tuning, making a baseline or the pulse… it doesn’t matter what the “if” is. It’s just ALWAYS a crucial element of MY pitching of kicks. Try this…
Go back to a recent track you made that you DID NOT pitch the kick to complement the track key or SOME RESONANCE/HARMONY of the key of the song and let me know what you think. At the end of the day it’s all about personal preferences and there’s no right way or wrong approach.
I am not trying to say anyone is doing it wrong. Just giving some perspective on my technique.
And for a really interesting effect, once you find the key/frequency pitch a layer of the kick two or three octaves higher. It give you a nice “beater” sound and creates presence
