You explain things so well, thank you so much for your videos!!
I was homeschooled the Charlotte Mason way my whole education & am now doing the same with my children. I learned handwriting this exact way, as well as narration & dictation & copy work. It works beautifully 🤍
I was waiting for this 🥰♥️🙌🏼🙌🏼
Very helpful! 😊
How did you decide between the Gardner program and Bachowsky Fluent Handwriting? I know the CMEC recommends both.
what did you end up choosing? i will be using CMEC for my upcoming Kinderleben, but also teaching ELA K-1st in a classical/CM co-op.
This is awesome. What do you suggest for a young child, a couple years off from formal education that has a desire to start learning both reading and writing? Is there a way to easy into these ideas so that way by the time they get into form 1 the can take off? Any suggestions would be so greatly appreciated.
So did you use all of the practice provided in the lessons? I’m midway in form 1b and my daughter was getting bored with the lessons so I started having her write from model words from her reading lessons. But I’m worried I should have persevered to the end.
You mentioned form 1 Are you in UK?
Hi, what would you recommend for a 12 year old child that has terrible writing.
I’m in a similar situation where I started handwriting for my son’s kindergarten year with another program and now we are following the CMEC for his 1st grade year. Did you just start this program over from the beginning? I was worried my son might be bored but perhaps not with quick lessons and the right framing of the assignment.
Hello, this is our first year with CMEC and looking between the two italics suggestions I went with BFH fluent handwriting manual. I really struggle with the fact that there doesn't seem to be clearn steps. I keep reading through it, thinking it seems like there's some chapters missing... you mentioned this program is open and go. Was there any other reason you chose this over the other CMEC program? We're a little over whelmed this chat year, and although I love the visual appeal of the print, I'm not confident that we're covering things in the right order etc
did you stick with BFH?
Does the italics for children also have cursive form?
My ten year old is coming from public school and will be a form 2a (5th grader). Should I jump into cursive or work on his penmanship in italics first?
I'd suggest always starting from the beginning and moving as fast as it's grasped. She will probably grasp it quicker than someone who is 6. The 6 year old could work on something for a month that your child will learn in a matter of days :)
