    I tried a flexible snorkel but the ocean waves kept pushing it back and forth, so it’s a solid one for me. The rest of the kit looks fine.

    Great video! Get the cressi nano low volume mask if you can... pretty much same price but better quality!

    I head out to Florida next week. These fins look like they would be good in a pool.

      Oh my gosh yes, I don't know when beaches and boat ramps will be open again in my area though. Hopefully no more than a couple weeks.

    Great video! Just remember to take the snorkel out of your moth when you duck dive. Much safer!

    Great video, thanks for the info! For a beginner, what's the best snorkel gear to get(on budget)

    • @JoeOceanside
      @JoeOceanside  Před 4 lety +1

      Probably a fully dry snorkel, fins with medium length blade and full foot pocket. And a snorkel mask, (not low volume like the one in this vid).

    Hello.
    How inportans are the fins overall. Taking the most space, are those mandatory in a snorkeling kit or
    or can be optional?

    • @JoeOceanside
      @JoeOceanside  Před 3 lety +2

      Very important, I would not go out with out them. Could be dangerous if you were in current or rough water without fins

    • @georgehalet8997
      @georgehalet8997 Před 3 lety +3

      I often go without fins. I'm not a fast swimmer, but I'm confident and it's not a problem.
      I like the fact that I getting more of an upper body workout.
      The real downside for watching fish is that you moving around a lot more and will scare them away vs slowly finning.
      _ thanks Joe Oceanside for the great equipment recommendations_

    Is the Promate Spectrum Adult Snorkeling Mask Dry Snorkel Fins Gear Bag Set - SCS0099 a good beginner set to use for snorkeling and diving below the surface little bit?
