How a Duracell Worker Invented Supreme with His Last $100

- Supreme is hailed as the coolest streetwear brand in the world.
Many know of its sold-out collaborations with prominent brands, including Louis Vuitton. And that its resale value can be as high as 1200% above the original price.
But few know the real story behind why the brand skyrocketed and how it all started at a Duracell factory.

That’s crazy people really pay 1200 for a 5 dollar t-shirt with a red box
It's mostly "rich" poor people trying to show off their "wealth". You also have some celebrities who get paid to wear it at events + actually rich idiots who are obsessed with it.
its also made of high quality materials aswell.
@@notgoodatvideogames3485 So are a bunch of shirts that don't cost $1000s, what's your point?
To put it in short, it's hype culture and it shows a social status in that culture.
I understand the social and clout aspect just the idea of it is mind boggling
*I recently sold my Supreme collection worth well over $25,000. Started collecting around 2005. The brand just isn’t the same anymore. Too many people want to resale now rather than actually wear the items*
I wear My Items. I Love my NorthfaceXSupreme Shirt and some of my New Era hats.
It's all smoke and mirrors. You're wasting your money on fads/outdated and bandwagon looking trends. But hey, you're gonna keep burning money on clothing that does nothing to enhance your life. Enjoy the free market.
@@xGRASHOPAxi feel that, i wear and tear all my supreme. Whole reason I bought it
I wear all my Supreme

Thank you for your belief , certainly it's worth relief which encourages me to leap forward!!!💪

Sells supreme brick 🙃
first time i ever see someone with the same pic as mine
They just make them. People don’t have to buy it... Brick sells out in minutes

"This story has humble beginnings. Papa was in the Air Force, Mother was a teacher, and little junior was a child actor".
The rags to riches/up from the streets narrative loses its edge when you say it like that.
Hey man you need to fix Takashi Murakami picture. That’s Madsaki. He’s a friend of Takashi Murakami.
Yeah, I know right!

Do a story on Michael Jackson buying two million songs and owning 50% of the Music Industry.
Wait.. that's real?
@@Narovski yep
@@Narovski Don’t he own the beatles ? lol
@@Playlistv2 you know he's dead, right? Where can I find info about that? That's interesting. Or that's sarcasm? :D
@@Narovski I was in a clubhouse chat listening to a guy who co owns auto tune. Just process that, if you create something and have the rights for it you can potentially monetise something to never have to work again. So everytime someone uses auto tune, and don’t worry there’s a lot, he gets a cut, cause it’s his right of ownership of the auto tune, they’re using his thing. Very interesting to know if you can be caught out, there are COUNTLESS of artists selling their soul for a pittance of what it’s worth, such is the media and industry though as i did previously allude to!
“focus on quality not quantity” and “don’t be greedy” values that actually added value to a business. It can be done. Also I think it’s much better that the physical commodities are traded with markup rather than people buying and selling corporate stocks. Like when a stocks value goes up it’s not like the store gets more money or the products are worth more
So he did the opposite of what he said
10:05 - That's not Murakami, that's another Japanese artist named Madsaki.
There were so many supreme knockoffs in the Philippines that a lot thought it was just a cheap brand. The people who wore them were poor kids. None of the rich wore it.
Same goes to us in Malaysia... the knockoffs of Supreme product are now come back to where it is.... flea markets... can get more cheaper with slightly the same quality of their original tee... even the Supreme knockoff product have a reseller value in Malaysia...
I haven't watched this channel since 2 months ago, surprised to see you have 200k subs, keep up the good work man! You'll get 1m next year if you keep this going
Rich people play the money game to win. poor people play the money game not to lose. the goal truly is, the rich people always want massive wealth, the poor sees a surplus as an opportunity for consumption instead of investing it...we have to change our mindset and do what the rich does, with the little we earn, which is investing it. the world is changing..
@Chris Davis To me I believe that investment is meant for the already rich, the rich invest their money in commodities, bonds, stocks, and now in crypto. when they are tired of working all day long having sleepless nights.
@@smithwillison6345 I will partially accept this claim.
Investment isn't that easy the way you guys see it
@@danhanson5314 Sir investment is easy. But only if you have mentor or an expert who do it for you.
@@danhanson5314 I literally make £15,000 on every £3,000 investment in a space of 7 working days. isn't that mind blowing?

Now we need a Supreme Duracell Collab 🔥🤑

Imagine building an economy around extremely unlikely "rags to riches" stories like this.
Imagine having an Air Force Daddy, a teacher Mommy, and working as a child actor and still spinning it into a rags-to-riches story.
