- This is the first episode in the Living on $100 series in Armenia!
Today starts out like any other, except i decided that it would be cool to try and get new shoes. Big Mistake. I ended up walking out in a pair worse than the pair i was originally wearing, and now because of the budget I am stuck with them for the rest of the season. I already have blisters.
Oh, and we ended up in the worst hostel to date.
All in all? Shaping up to be a great season!
"Dandelions are an American thing" is the most American thing said by an American
Sad...
@@lauradanielyan9394 or any kind of vegetation in general...🙄
Dandelions (Löwenzahn in German) are not an American thing at all. More like a the-whole-world thing 😉.
Can't believe you would buy shoes without trying them on. Shoe size vary from company to company. An 8 from on manufacturer is not guaranteed to be the same as an 8 from another. You can stuff newspaper in tight leave them overnight. Wet is ideal but as you need to use them the next day better keep em dry.
@saintott I completely agree. Yes wearing a pair of shoes and making them super warm and then over stuffing them with paper. Can help stretch a shoe... I would never buy a shoe without trying it on. I don't care how cheap it is.. And no you cannot find leather shoes for $15. That are worth anything. Unless they were thrifted. Heck no. I can't believe he said that. I don't know where he's from. Where he's getting leather shoes that are of good quality for $15. Timbuktu which does not exist I don't think. Now I have to look that up..
My dude, dandelions are not only in the US. They’re literally everywhere.
how do u buy a shoe without trying it first, its confusing
Pure stupidity
You should ask the seller to show you the product youre looking for. This was probably a local yogurt or kefir
@suomusic ayran is sour and salty but didnt he already have it in turkey? ayran shouldnt be so sour that you spit it out
That is exactly what it is Tan is a Yogurt drink, like Ayran
“I think dandelions are an American thing” 😩 American intelligence continues to amaze me….
I'm American and I even know that ..... than again my parent's are both from Europe/Argentina. Not all American's are stupid and incompetent. Only most of the one's who shoot video's don't' know much of anything.
Armenia is not directly adjacent to Iraq.
i think he meant iran
its above iran, but iraq is pretty closeby
It’s a yogurt drink
Dandelions originated in temperate and subarctic Eurasia before the last Ice Age. They were adapted to disturbed habitats on shores, mountain slopes and steppes, so after the Ice Age their populations spread rapidly over the vast exposed landscapes left by retreating glaciers.
Ok but like, who asked?
i did@@sinafaeahbakhsh9216
It would definitely make a bit more sense to drop a little more money on some quality shoes than having to replace it every few weeks
Excited for the new season!
LETS GO!!! I get so excited seeing these videos 😊
This is like the UK TV series "An Idiot Abroad"
personally I wouldnt have counted the shoes in the challenge mainly because thats not something the average person would need to buy.
8:50 its a yogurt-water mix with carbonation. its very common in western asian nations. In Armenia, it is called Tan (Թան).
So excited 😊
I thought you didn't count stuff like shoes?
Dude, you bought yogurt drink instead of milk. Tan means yogurt drink. Plus, you can stay at a descent b&b for 20$ a day.
06:41nooooo american moment
lol Nate you haven't yet figure out that milk outside US is not kept in the fridge it's only for the yogurt and sour staff
Everybody I know keep milk in fridge
In Sweden and probably other nordic countries They have it in fridges at the stores :)
@@jeesus681 yes, in their homes. In stores usually you find them in normal shelves
Everybody in Armenia keeps milk in the fridge. He just rushed to take the drinking yoghurt. There must have been milk somewhere on that shelf. Just ask the shopkeeper for the stuff you need.
Bro you have google translate why dont you translate what is milk
What editing software do you use?
Y did u buy shoes without making sure they fit well. Your meant to try them on
Premier was awesome
love the $100 series x
make sure before you use atms pull the card reader a little there might be a scammer wth a card swiper on it
Oh boy rough start
Nate, you bought what I would consider dress shoes or business shoes for everyday walking. How do you not focus entirely on sneakers?
One tip with those atm with the green circles you put your card in, always pull on them because scammers make covers that steal your card information. It goes right over the original
The shoes should loosen over time. But I would suggest using a hairdryer to heat them up and put them on so they mold to your feet better
Why would you buy the shoes without trying them on?
That wasn’t milk it’s a yogurt drink. If you haven’t tried it highly recommend it. Trust me.
Bro you didnt hit us with the good morning everybody
Day one of a new season needs those first 30 seconds to keep people hooked
Hilarous. Do you still have these shoes ? How much do you want for them?!
The energy in the Entro
I went to armina and when you are walking I remember what I did there
Iraq does not neighbor Armenia.
Most cheep places don't have toilet paper. It's not the price of a role that's the problem generally backpackers feel no commotion is taking a role. That adds up for a five dollar hostel. Correct me if I'm wrong I remember a few episodes where u complained about the lack of toilet paper then proceeded to take a role ;?)
I have joked about it, but never taken a roll in practice
Iran not Iraq quite the difference
I'm so happy I was not named to support you for that hostel 🤣 great video nate, enjoy the kitten milk 🤭
I was thinking about giving a shout-out to someone for it, but it felt shitty to do because I know that I am going to be bashing this hostel for the next few months 😅
@@NanoBytesInc Not that it matters to much how the hostel is really, but for the love of the little things in life you made the right choice 😄
Iran not iraq
Bro..where in the US can you get quality leather shoes for 15 dollars?
The thrift store
why would you not try the shoes on first without buying?
I discovered your channel thru Tiktok, first I came across you when you were staying in your car. I binge watched most of your videos here on youtube. I especially like those 100$ challenge ones!
I dont want to sound rude but just have to say that you are one of the most stereotypical "american - americans" ever! Its quite hilarious how i laugh at some situations and/or your comments.. haha
Keep posting, u are fun to watch & wish u luck with ur company
Hi from Slovenia 🇸🇮😁
5:55 I use Coke too as my idea of how expensive things are between countries haha :-)
Nate why did you buy shoes you didn’t try on
I don’t think you should count the cost of the shoes
man you're soooo funny, you're doing great job you should try doing stand ups
You find this funny?
Where in Amercian you can buy really good leather shoes for $15? cheapest I can find is $35
He probably meant patent leather. Cause patent leather is NOT leather.
8:50 they are called Doogh (دوغ), yogurt & water mixed together with gas like Soda.
in armenian it is called taan.
It doesn't have to be always with gas. I prefer the type of tan made with plain water. It's slightly salty, too.
respect for coming to armeniaa
Why? He’s a nut.
I’m not sure you can get leather or pleather shoes in American for under $30
When it comes to reading foreign words like food use the translation app. So you stop buying yogurt mistaking it for milk. Not the first time this has happened to you lol
6:38 😂😭😭😭 I hope that was a joke
He is drinks no milk ,he is very funny man 🤣 it is no milk 🤦🤣
Dope thumbnail
No they aren't 6:46 😂
Bred
I don't think the shoes should count.... 1- anyone visiting would bring their own shoes and not need to buy them 2- you rushed the purchase and could have found a better/cheaper pair that would probably fit better.
Super glue is my bestfriend when it comes to shoes
my guess. he is going to make this series 8 days long. mark my words!
I will take that bet.
wow that tumbnail is next level
You should have let us know how much the rugs were. You should have asked if they close most of the city on Sunday. You should slow down and ask questions so you don't waste money.
Love the thumbnail
I think you bought tan not milk, it's a yoghurt drink,,,and you went to the first restaurants so early that they were closed, restaurants and shops usually open from 10 or 11 in the morning
How many coke zeros appear in the video?
20
Why u just don't tried the shoes before buy them sorry bro? It's normal try shoes...and why u not could try to return or change for bigger number..it's a normal thing bro
4 dollars a day ?
6:38 bruh for real?
also why not try the shoes on before buying them ?
Why didn't you just try them on? Who buys shoes without trying, unless it's online... Oh right Nate does.
« I wonder if they imported their grasse from America »pls tell me your joking
some of the countries have coke more expensive you should check the pepsi price and you dont need tp you have a shattafa
You can probably sell the shoes on the street for a couple dollars
Armenian businesses don't lock their doors when they close?
Bro rlly said iraq
in almost every country u get some “milk” and it ends up tasting like shit LMFAO
Lol what he drank was not milk 😭
"closed" but there were people inside 😮😮
"I like Parks"
Didn't go to the best Park in Europe. Park Guell in Barcelona.
*sigh*
Has to be joking about the dandelions he hast to be there’s no way he serious. I refuse to believe that he’s serious.
I don’t think dandelions are an American thing Bec I have seen them in Spain where I live England and also other countries
And I did NOT see them in Florida. And I doubt they grow in Arizona or New Mexico....
1,02$ That is expensive. xD I pay like 1,70$ per liter. And 500ml bottles are even more expensive
the dandelion comment sent me. lmao
That „milk“ was tan
Armenia imported grass from America? Hell noooooo. We have enough grass in our mountains and valleys! :))))))))))
Next season, do Iraq. While probably a bad idea, it’d be wild.
We'll never see him again lmao
@M J Yes but this is nate we're talking about, He got robbed in 2/5 locations he went to
@@arasakaa educate yourself and see the vloggers who went to Iraq and they will tell you if it's safe or not
@@amirs860 It is not safe, Everyone said so.
Even the vloggers.
@@arasakaa **3/5 he also got robbed at gunpoint outside the lebanon airport
Dandelions are an American thing (Don't worry I got your back and and I'm from Spain)
im America you can what? exchange watts for franklins?
im gonna want all the plastic bags for the attic, water flooding potentialities
Hi
This hostel is awful. Makes the other cheap one look like a 5 star hotel. A 5 star hotel without toilet paper 😂
Was that buttermilk ?
No it’s called Tahn in Armenian. It’s a watery salted yogurt drink
@@gayavoski7681 Thank you for the info wird he did not like it
bro dandelions are a global thing 😂
You should’ve tried the shoe before buying it
Dandelions are definitely not an American thing, they're all over here in England
All over Russia, almost all over continental Europe...
“i like parks”
I like them a whole lot more without blisters 😭
Great vid watched on premier
That was so much fun! I am going to give *slightly* more notice for the premier tomorrow 😂
i think you should not count the shoes out of your budget
His drink and hotel are about same price range
Iraq is far from Armenia dude lollll and if you are confusing Iraq with Iran, Iran is also not a desert since it’s a huge nation and has many topographies. Northern Iran which is the part of Iran that is close to Armenia is actually really green, mountainous, and snows a lot. And coastal Iran is also very green and lush, Middle and Southern Iran which is closer to Gulf countries is what is more of a desert.
5:42 u think you are a beautiful Chinese woman nate
6:41 Americans imported European/euroasian grass
5:43 😂😂😂
