As far as video game villains go, Bowser is easily one of the most recognizable ones out there, as well as one of the most persistent. For over 35 years, this Koopa King has plagued Mario and his friends in an attempt to kidnap Princess Peach and take over the Mushroom Kingdom once and for all. But every king needs a kingdom, as well as an army of loyal subjects willing to do their bidding. This begs the question: Which of these Bowser Baddies are the elite of the elite and which ones are about as weak as an actual real-life turtle?

Paper Mario enemies weak to powerful
Dry bones should've at least been mentioned as a variant of koopa troopa. They regenerate if you jump on them and are immune to fire, plus you can't kick around their shells at enemies.
not to mention they're literally zombie koopas
Don't forget the Koopatrols who are Bowser's royal guard elite among the elite. So the Koopa Troopas simultaneously have some of the weakest and strongest troop types which should average them out around the middle, mostly because they have so many more weak variants than strong ones.
Plus in Super Mario World they throw bones
I hate dry bones, they are so annoying, especially in SMW.
Odesey central Will kill you
The first Goomba in SMB 1-1 has probably taken more lives than any other type of enemy. Many young kids have run straight into it, again and again.
Even seasoned players have fucked up on it.

I always thought wigglers weren’t members of bowser’s army, thanks to the rpg games depictions and how they are friendly pacifists in nature.
I always had the impression that they were forced to join the koopa troops by Bowser
They aren't part of his army, or at least most of them some are some aren't type deal
They are always smiling and friendly-looking little buggers, and some of them are so large that I think they don't fear Bowser. They both just tolerate each other.
I don’t know if they count as troops but the Koopalings are probably the most powerful (especially the goat Ludwig)

I think Fuzzies are slightly stronger than amps, because they can also jump around. And I agree with the Blaarghs. Sometimes they are an instant kill.
Blaarghs can be easily avoided if not able to be defeated.Same with it’s variants.

Fuzzies have also proven to be more threatening in large numbers, as seen in Super Mario 3D World in Fuzzy Time Mine, where they group up into a horde and become invincible and an instakill

I think you underestimated the shy guys here while in strength they might not be anything special. They’re an overall very intelligent species after all most shy guy variants as you said are mostly them using items to stop Yoshi which proves their intelligence, heck in paper Mario one a boss called general guy is literally just a shy guy physically but his high intelligence allowed him to build an incredibly durable tank out of toys and even in general shy guys tend to be enemies that you usually find late game in Mario RPGs so I definitely think they shouldn’t have been placed this low
Not just general guy, but Anti-guys. Who are stronger than General guy's tank, and have more health, without needing weapons or vehicles
Shy Guys in rpgs were shown restraining Chain Chomps. Even Hammer Bros had a hard time with smaller Chomps and Bowser himself struggles to hold them back IIRC. Granted the Shy Guys do get dragged around but they can slow them down to a stop and generally taming them probably includes getting some bites inflicted too.
SHY GUYS, SHY GUYS (Yah, Shy Guys are my favorite enemy in Mario and finally seeing them get respect is heartwarming

You undersell Pirahna Plants. The are usually placed in a way where they will JUST clip you if your jump height isn't perfect and punish going too fast. Their fireballs are also the most dangerous projectiles in the series when the devs want to get mean.

Koopas are usually friendly, likely being used as a helping hand, hey often move around(they won't attack like diving diagonally)
Latitus in SMM2 They can be tactical, and they literally throw what is given to them(Koopas, Hammer/Sledge bros, iron spikeballs, bloopers. )
Ninjis does mimick the movements of mario(in ninji speedruns)They can be friendly or playfully moving around to powerfully touch/tag Mario, or help him.

In Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, at one point Kylie Koopa says “I haven’t been this jazzed in a Blargg’s age!” which implies that Blarggs have long lifespans, which is consistent with powerful and/or many intelligent animals in nature in our world, which makes sense because Blarggs are so powerful :)

Chain Chomp isn't an enemy, he's just a misunderstood guard dog. He would bite bowser given the chance, and is often helpful to the level or secrets (like the yarn variant in yoshis woolly world). also he's a good boy. but we'll take #2 most powerful :D

While octoombas are seen as weak common enemies, in super Mario 3d world they are WAY tougher, only being affected by a direct ground pound to the head, any other attack will just bounce off harmlessly.

honestly I figured creatures like the Goonies, Stingbees, Huckits and Cheep Cheep were just wildlife that got in your way
I think Boom Boom should be way lower, at least below the Sumo Bros. Sure, they're mini-bosses, but that doesn't matter if enemies like the Hammer Bros are much harder to deal with
I have a video idea! While watching this I was playing Mario Odyssey. I was moving to the next kingdom when Cappy caught my eye. I think a video about Mario’s companions would be cool, weakest companions to most powerful. Companion examples being: Olivia (paper Mario color splash), Cappy (Mario Odyssey), and Beep-Bo (Mario+Rabbids). Definitely a video I would like to see.
The Ninjis should be higher because they are one of the few enemies that aren't that powerful in most of their appearances to become REALLY annoying to beat in The RPGs (or Paper Jam specifically).

11:14 - The "immune to fire" bit applies to every subspecies except Buster Beetles, which trade in durable shells for more mobility and the ability to yeet shit at you from across the map.
20:52 - SMRPG gives us Oerlikons, Spinies native to Barrel Volcano and - more importantly - resistant to fire.
36:22 - And even then, quite a few Chain Chomps can yank themselves free after enough tries.
To me, the Whomps belong quite a bit lower...like borderline cannon fodder category IMO. Same for the Urchins...high defensive abilities or even invulnerability don't necessarily make an enemy "powerful". It's all about how difficult they are to get past for me.
Also, the Hammer Bros. belong at or near the top just for their sheer offensive abilities (no enemy has made me want to pull my hair out as much as the Hammer Bros. from the original SMB), and the Cheep-Cheeps do as well. Those boss basses are quite the scary variant, and the Porcu-Puffer variety from SMW will forever haunt my dreams since it's basically impossible to swim faster than them. And don't get me started on those flying Cheep Cheeps...
Whenever I see Spikes from Mario, I just think of Fishy Boopkins from SMG4

The strongest member of Bowsers disposable is himself Considering the fact that every game he’s been in there’s a nine time out of 10 chance. He ended up becoming giant and when that happens he’s almost God if you look in Bowser’s inside story he’s got a whole arsenal of attacks which is just insane in the fact that you can’t actually kill him you can get close but you can’t kill him he’s never truly dead
But this isn’t all the enemies because there’s ones like Dry Bones who isn’t there
I don't think that Piranha Plants are actually in Bowser's troops given that they don't appear sentient except for bosses like Petey Piranha. They just kind of eat whatever falls into their mouths.
I'm not sure if it counts but in Minion Quest (The side mode from the Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga remake) they are stated to be part of Bowser's army.

A good chunk of those aren't even Bowser's. They're just random wild monsters. I suppose if Bob'Bombs count after SM3...
Another thing that hurts the Blooper is its use as an item in Mario Kart. In Mario Kart, it is hardly a hindrance at all.
I don't think spin off games other than galaxy are counted in this video. Mariokart is a COMPLETELY different thing than Mario bros and is a kart racing game rather than an RPG/platformer.
I only want to say this, you missed the lava bubble and chain chomp variant, the flame chomps, which are harder then all of them. Firing flames, ramming and self destructing in a fast speed makes them impossible to no hit.
