That was not an okay picture of the weasel. It was an excellent photo and here is why; the summer coat of the weasel and more imortantly, its` prey. Well done.
🙏thank you
So funny to me you say the photo was mediocre ish. That first one was incredible. But. I appreciate your high standards, which is why your photography adorns my office walls!!
Ha! Thank you my friend
Obviously a great day spent with your son great stuff😊
Thanks!👍
Being in the UK i find it awesome that you can track wolves n bears when out and the owls are amazing. It's amazing place must be harsh at times weather wise super envious .
First to comment! Great video, keep the content coming. As soon as my kids are done with private schooling, I’m joining a work shop with you. Stoked.
👍glad you enjoyed it
Great thoughts! Thanks for taking me along!
Glad you enjoyed!
98 Degrees in Central Florida this May so I think I would take the 30s
To hear what you do to prep settings was a nice thing to hear as I do that every time I leave my vehicle as well. Countless times time is the factor for photo opportunities whether you get one or get one at all. A great shot of the weasel !!
Very true
Cool, Steve! Thanks so much!
👍
Always love to see a new Steve video when I check my CZcams. Keep up the great videos Steve! Been watching you for years
I appreciate that!
Good advise taken

Sweet capture Steve! Thanks again.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Great concept! Enjoyed the vid👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice catch 👍👍

Hi Steve! Love the weasel. They have been eluded me. Could you demonstrate for me at some point how you unsling your monopod and get low to the ground eye level weasel shot before he runs off. I just can’t picture how you can do that all so fast. I get having the setting ready but physically getting everything into position so fast is remarkable. Did you keep it on the monopod? How do you get eye level? I am curious. Thanks.
1:26 is that a hidden bird while you talk about seeking for wildlife? ahah
Hmmm
steve, as always nice vid. Question about the sling pouch on your left shoulder, is it a camera sling or sling-style pack? Thanks.
Pack
I had to chuckle, after watching this video. I was in the mountains for the past 3 day, chasing bears. Came across a grizzly sow and took a gazillion pictures. Get home. Some are soft.....all because I didn't preset my settings. Slow shutter speeds were the culprit !! Why didn't you put the video out.....before I left !! LOL !!!!
Cheers,
Eeeeeeeek!
Better than mediocre
Curious, what are your thoughts on auto area AF vs 3d tracking?
I’m in 3D most of the time
Surprised to hear you say aperture priority given you were chasing wildlife. My assumption is you would want shutter speed control and would therefore be in manual with auto iso. Is that a normal approach for you? Cheers!
I just use iso to control my shutter, same thing👍
Hey Steve. Just got my 400 2.8 TC. Wow what a lens eh !!! Have you tried any external TCs on it like the Z2X ?
Yes it works quite well for me👍
Awesome that’s all I needed to hear I’m buying it
